With all the injuries the Pats really need to win next week. A win next all but secures the bye week. Denver would have to win out to 13-3 and the Pats would have to go 1-4 the rest of the way to not secure it if we beat them next week. (barring any weird three way tie breakers) A win next week likely will make it near impossible to lose the one seed as well. A win gives a chance to get healthy and really work on an Offensive Plan B for the playoffs with all the back ups.

If we lose next week the three seed still in play.

Also 16-0 is very much in reach if they beat Denver. If Dola doesn't play I think Denver wins. Going there Sunday night lacking a lot of weapons is asking a lot. Defense needs to be huge again

If they clinch the two seed early enough they will be holding out guys.. If they clinch the one seed they will be flat out holding players out for the playoffs.. unless they clinch it at 15-0.

Also, the Bengals and Denver play each other once, so there is a third loss already for one of them. Seeding stuff still looks really good obviously. Health is the key to this potential Lombardi now.

If they win Sunday, and more than likely the Pats will win.#1 seed along with 16-0 is a lock no need to worry.Just stating the facts.

We need to lose 3 games as of now to not get a bye (Bengals and Broncos both have two losses, play each other Week 16). Lose this, we would still need to lose two more to not get a bye. We're fine.

I thought that the really big game was last night. Had they lost that one a loss at Denver would have dropped them below the Broncos for the playoff bye. Now, no matter what happens next week, the Pats are still ahead of both Denver and Cincy with them having to play each other.

Yes, I agree. I was thinking of it in the context that we had just won the game. The key to this is going to be health now. They need the bye and HFA as early as possible. Two playoff games in Foxboro won't be enough if we have no players.

Although it will be tough, I still think the Pats have a pretty good shot to win next week. I think, unlike the Bears, the Pats will shut down the Broncos' running game and force Osweiller to throw. I don't know if he can be nearly as effective if he needs to be more than a game manager.

If the Pats win next week, it will likely be on defense.

Big win last night, for sure. Going to take a lot for NE to not get a bye at this point.

especially since Denver and Cinci play each other one time. So one of them is guaranteed a third loss already. Be huge if we beat Denver. The whole thing will be mute though if we don't get health.

I think the Patriots would still get the #1 seed with a loss next week and a 14-2 final record. Neither Brock Osweiler or Andy Dalton are likely to win out, and Denver/Cincy play each other in Week 16.

So, either Denver or Cincy are certain to lose one more and finish 13-3. The team that wins that matchup would need to go 5-0 in addition to that game plus win the tiebreakers if the Patriots go 14-2.

14-2 gets the #1 seed.

I'm fine if we lose this game, I think we can beat everyone else on our schedule, Jets will probably be the toughest task, win that one we can rest the starters for the Miami game and get our key starters super fresh with 2 weeks off.

If we take this crippled offense into Denver Sunday and win, my question will be does BB go for 16-0? Because at that point it will be totally doable. I'd like to see it but I am REALLY on the fence at this point with the injuries mounting.

The Broncos have no offense. Focus on stopping the run, make Osweiler beat you. I would be VERY surprised if they scored more than 14 against our defense.

All our offense has to do is get 17. I know we are banged up, but we scored points in all but 2 quarters so far this year. I am confident we can put up 20 against them. Won't be easy, but it can be done.

Hopefully Amendola is ready to go on Sunday. The OL should be better after a week of practice (more reps for the guys that were limited last week, hopefully). Getting Collins back would also be HUGE!
