Seems like this team would really benefit from a bye week in the 2nd half of the season, but I'm not gonna complain or say the NFL set this up giving us that very early bye (well maybe they did) because in the past few years we have been blessed with the bye week in the right moments, later in the season.
But what could Bill do to manage things, guys banged up, offense needing to work on different plays because the picture has changed drastically, etc...we are already with 2 guys injured (Collins, Edelman) that we can't free up the spot, so the group is already short and may become shorter. I know HFA is huge but with the division almost clinched I think BB may need to think in some sort of damage control even if that puts the best record in jeopardy, it doesn't add up getting to the playoffs with the team falling into pieces. I know it's never going to happen but hypothetically, if the next game were not against Denver, I would even think about giving Brady a rest after the beating he took yesterday and against the giant.
Well the train cannot stop, there's no byes until the playoffs and we gotta play, different from other sports we can't field a team full of reserves because some positions are thin and the backups are already playing, but maybe a rotation, Idk. Before Edelman break his foot I felt he was a little lessened and would be a candidate for a rest, in the end he was forced to, unfortunately. I know this usually takes place in week 16 or 17, but I don't like the team going rust into the playoffs, I would rather do it earlier and hit the foot in the gas in the end of the regular season.
Hoping for good news regarding Dobson and Amendola, otherwise it's officially 2013 all over again.
