Danny Amendola Injury Watch 2015

The Patriots put the best punt returner on punt return. It's that simple. It was true with Troy Brown, it was true with Wes Welker, it's true with Julian Edelman and it's true with Danny Amendola. Special Teams is just as important as offense and defense.

Give the new fans a break, they don't understand how these things work yet.

garafolo saying the patriots hope its nothing serious..
same thing happened with lewis. please nothing serious.

When is the first practice of the week?

Supposedly it wasnt on the punt he hurt it. Lokyo says he came up limping after lewis run for a td. Came to the benc where he told the coaches he was fine. Then went out for the punt and after that they pulled him

I would not classify it as must-win myself. They should be underdogs with all these injuries.

At Denver on a short week? Bad mojo here.

But regardless, the Patriots will have at least a 1 game lead and Denver does not have an easy schedule either. They have the Bengals and Steelers.
The Denver game is somewhat a must win game for the Pats! I still see both Cincy & Denver dropping at least 2 more games in the end

I know they listed this as a knee injury but, on the replays I saw this morning, it looked like he was grabbing his hamstring again.

1 game....1 game without a injury to a key part of this O and a key part to this team getting that SB win....

My god this team is cursed this year...and it sucks becasue the AFC is garbage...please be ok

Huh? Given the Pats injury situation and two more division games, 14--2 is a reasonable record to expect. Saying that it's not all that important to give another team with two losses the tie breaker doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

The schedule looks favorable, but the Patriots have two position groups in serious trouble: OL and receivers. They are better resting guys like Vollmer and Amendola if time is going to get them right for the playoffs, 13-3 probably gets the second bye. Going .500 down the stretch will drive us insane, but might be okay if they can get to the playoffs with their starters able to play.

They have to get Vollmer healthy for the playoffs, and sort out their interior rotation. I'm not sure what was going on with Kline last night, but they have to get Mason-Stork-Kline in synch on the interior and figure out who can play tackle, even if that means Mike Williams takes over at RT.

The receiver situation is dire with Amendola injured and Dobson probably finished for the year. I'm not sure what's out there, but they have room for at least one free agent receiver, maybe two. Marcus Thigpen who has bounced around might be a good fill-in in the slot. They need a backup to LaFell.

Fingers crossed. The joy of three straight victories has been blunted by waiting for injury news.,..
The good news is that it is almost certainly not season-ending. ACL is diagnosed on the field virtually every time. Won't be surprised if he misses time, but he should return. Not necessarily for Denver of course. BTW, what is your three cone time?

And it's so depressing...these wins are coming at a cost where it could cost us in the playoffs. If Edelman can come back for playoffs...fine..but DA...he's been key this year

Lets look under rocks for receivers,
What is Chad Jackson doing nowadays?
Who was that receiver that flashed with the Colts then faded down the stretch 2 seasons ago call him.
Also i would look at teams who dont know how to preserve talent at their practice squads.
Would love to see a Justin Hunter get cut for some reason or the Cowboys to cut Brice Butler due to overcrowding.
Chris Matthews?

but the Patriots have two position groups in serious trouble: OL

They struggled last night, but the OL is in good shape, health-wise.

Just a reminder, "nothing major" in the NFL generally still means being out 3-4 weeks. I wouldn't count on Danny making the trip to Denver.

I don't know what Brady would do if DA misses anytime Chandler and Dobson both Suck!

The fact that he stayed walking around the sidelines leads me to believe it was nothing serious. No xrays mris or going back to the locker room.

Question is, will it be enough to keep him out next week?
I asked this earlier, but no one responded. Did anyone else see Amendola on the hands team with 3:30 left in the game or were my eyes playing tricks on me???

Since Dobson has what appears to be an even more serious injury, I'm not sure what his talent level has anything to do with this discussion.

At this point I'm starting to wish Welker was still a Free Agent....

There's literally no one worthwhile avaliable to sign out there. Extremely slim pickins

Too bad Reche Caldwell is in prison.
