Randy Moss-someone had to say it

It would be really depressing to see Randy out there getting beat up in man coverage, not getting separation because he doesn't have the speed anymore, and dropping passes. I want to remember him as he was. Don't do it.

If Amendola and Dobson are both out for an extended time, then **** it, couldn't hurt to bring him in for a workout. Like 95% sure he's done, but what the hell.

I was going to say Matt Slater, but even he seems to be a bit dinged up.

And with our shortage of CBs, I'm not going to suggest that some DB pull a reverse Edelman/Troy and play offense.

Seriously, I'll go with Josh Boyce if he's stayed in shape.

Have any of our 2007 receivers played effectively as recently as 2012?

Other than Welker, that is.

Nobody is a bigger Moss fan than me, but he seems content with life after football - and I'm finally content with football without him. Let's just let this go, he's never coming back.

Now there's something that I hadn't considered, although I think it's safe to assume that it's a stretch of an idea.

I know there is no chance of it happening, but it would be so much fun if it did. Just imagine the collective exasperation from the rest of the league seeing Brady thow a game winning TD to Moss.

If he's still in West Virginia, I'm likely the closest one to him, geographically speaking.

I'm going to hop in the car and try to round him up. Perhaps I can find an address somewhere online. He may mistake me for one of the car guys from the team, or just think that I am actually McDaniels, especially if I throw on the Red Sox cap.

I'll let you know how it's going when I get to the house. Should be sometime around 4-5 AM. I'm hoping we can share a bowl of "Fruity Munch" together (fingers crossed).

If both Dobson and Amendola are out, the sad truth is, Bill would have to atleast consider it.

Really crazy how in just a few short weeks, we're sitting here saying that Wes Welker would look decent in a Pats uniform right about now....

To be honest though, there's no shot of Moss just hopping out of his FS1 suit and being in actual game shape at 38. It won't happen. You can pretty much bet the house on it.

Brandon Lloyd anyone? :p

Can't believe we're now 31 posts into this thread and nobody has yet said...

SIGN THE BEAST!!!

Why not Jerry Rice? He always said he'd keep himself in shape. And come on, for less than half a season?

I am so kidding. Just in case anyone thought I was serious.

TO, baby.

I would probably put Llyod into pretty much the same category, wouldn't you, Bald Tom Brady? I mean, Llyod did take a season off to pursue his dreams of making B-list movies, and then didn't exactly return with a bang.

Run 10 yards turn and jump, over and over.

Looks like it might be Ocho time...

Oh definitely, that was more sarcasm than anything. :D

If Randy could somehow be a possession receiver, short pass receiver I'd be game. Unlike Felger I love Moss, But he could not be the deep pass only guy. Yeah, he is 38, but we are screwed right now. They need both Amendola and Edleman back to repeat. I would be "all in" and celebrate if I heard he was signing at this point. Our D looks awesome though... I think we are now number One for point against.

It's more probable than not that Moss is not walking through that door.

Sign Dane Sanzenbacher.
