At this time we have nobody healthy left....

Here is who we should probably check out:

  • Austin Collie
  • Robert Meachem
  • Donnie Avery

Outside of the above I see no one else worth signing/ looking at....

Not sure Collie is available, he plays for the BC Lions.

The likelihood of anyone other than Collie picking up our system is insanely low.

Even Collie admitted that he was at the facility from about 5am to 10pm every single day for about a month trying to learn from Brady, McDaniels, and film study/practice.

None of those other players should be considered, aside from maybe Collie. It would be in-house, like Harper. Someone who is familiar with the system, which is the most important part.

austin collie?
still hoping the rams cut welker that way we bring him back....

maybe give josh bust i mean boyce a call. what's up with thompkins???

Wes Welker may be available after two more weeks.

I believe he was signed to take the place of a suspended player.

Anyone know if CFL players need buy outs or something? I'd take Collie back for sure.

The way we're going we should sign them all

True, but I think Collie would be the best out of the bunch.
Maybe we can persuade Brandon Lloyd to come out of retirement? That guy had some positives and could play mid...

Kenbrell Thompkins (Jets), Jalen Saunders (Bears Practice Squad) he was traded here earlier this season, Johnathan Krause (Eagles Practice Squad) was here in preseason and spent time on the practice squad, Austin Collie.

Most likely true, Keshawn Martin seemed to learn fast but I think BOB is probably running our offense in Houston.

At this point of the season, I doubt it likely that we bring anyone in, especially with how difficult it is to learn our offensive system. I would guess it's someone off our practice squad, maybe Thompkins or dare I say Boyce lol, but I think the return of Martin should help a little and let's hope Danny isn't hurt too bad.

Boyce is on the IR..
Thompkins is with the Jets, I believe

Yes, great point. I was quite surprised with Martin's ability to pick things up so quickly and see live game reps over Dobson--but I don't know if that speaks more to Martin's strengths or Dobson's weaknesses?

As you noted, the Texans/BOB system likely helped his cause tremendously.

NO NO NO NO NO. He's a shell of his former self. His hands a bricks now. I don't want him.

Beggers can't be choosers. Not ideal but, he knows the playbook.

Hell, we could start a kickstarter campaign or something and buy him out ourselves, and unfortunately I am being semi-serious. It may actually be worth it.
