Rex trying to be all classy now. Lol

Refs blew it again at he end. Receiver was never touched and rolled out of bounds with two seconds left. They should have stopped the clock.
Not complaining though :)

I presume that they ruled that the player had given himself up/stopped attempting to advance by sitting down and scooting sideways. That would mark the end of the play, in bounds.

This is absolutely correct.

Way I see it is the Pats were totally robbed of a touchdown, but the Bills were robbed of a Hail Mary, which is a longshot at a touchdown.... so I'll be generous and say let's call it even. :D
I think they got the call right at the end actually

Give rex a break guys, before the game he said they were better now than in week 2, I think when he said they were better in the post game presser he was reiterating that they better now than in week 2, but not good enough yet

I think the Patriots need a running back that hits the hole faster than Blount to help out the OL

ehhh I'm with the announcers i can't imagine that it's correct to have the clock run there

Watkins fell down with the ball inbounds for the clock to stop he has to either have the ball out of bounds when he goes down or he has to go entirely out of bounds before falling down.

Considering that the 1st Watkins catch (The one reviewed) he was down by contact in bounds, the clock should have started immediately. It didn't. So the game shod have been over before the 2nd watkinscarch since they got about 15 seconds free.

no one on NFL network mentioning that Rex was in the white illegally blocking the refs view.

These kind of games make my arse pucker and start grabbing at the seat cushion

He didn't give himself up and no one touched him. The play doesn't end just because the ball carrier is on the ground. He was clearly trying to get out of bounds and succeeded.

You're allowed to run backwards out of bounds and the forward progress rule doesn't apply if no one touches him. If he had been touched, then that's a whole 'nother story.

Don't you have to be moving forward out of bounds to stop the clock? Or did I just dream that?
Only if you are being tackled or driven out of bounds. If a player is being tackled backwards out of bounds, they get forward progress to the in-bounds spot and the clock keeps running.

Since no one touched Watkins on that last play, he is allowed to run/slide backwards out of bounds and the "forward progress" rule does not apply.

I think that's the key point... If you are going backwards (or rolling, in this case), and are untouched, the clock continues to run.

felger is actually right, the guy covering danny let up when the whistle blew, he would have made the tackle

I think everyone on this crew just lost their chances to work the Superbowl this year...
