I would agree but his 5th year option is almost $8M so they might hope he passes through waivers and sign him after.

I would be shocked, absolutely shocked if we cut Siliga. He is a top 15 run stopping DT.

Honestly, a worse punishment for having our first round pick stripped would be to be forced to have the player on the top of the Jets' list be our pick. We'd probably have to live with an underachieving, overpaid turd for three or four seasons.

Trey Flowers goes on IR?

One dimensional and Brown is getting much better and blowing up the run.
But i agree that Siliga is still valuable.
So who are the cuts then?
Has to be O line as crazy as that is.
Or start putting some players away with stomach bugs.

He's a DE rather than a DT, so (assuming this came to pass, which I highly doubt) they could put Trey Flowers (who has yet to play a game this season, IIRC) on IR.

Flowers was so promising in TC ; I 'd like to see what he can do.

That does not mean anything. They probable thought lets give Bowles a shot at teaching him cutting him now gets the jets off the hook for the 8 mill next year. If he would ave got hurt, he would have hit the 2016 cap for the 8 mill

Kendall Hunter was the most promising passing back who can run a little that they brought in IMO.

Not that I think there is any chance they would get him but why assume it would be Siliga and Jones getting cut? Flowers could find himself on IR and Tavon Wilson or Brandon King could be released.

If you can't add to the secondary then add to the front 7.

Pats would be a pretty vast at DL
