Kraft needs to stop being cheap and paint the helmets. Notre Dame does it everygame. I bet you he would more than make up for the cost to paint the helmets twice.

I'm pretty sure all teams can do is change the logo decal, they can't paint them.

So are they wearing the red jerseys or not? I seem to recall that they weren't going to trot them out any more?

Don't see why you shouldn't be able to, then again the league has oddly specific rules.

The New England Patriots are fined $2 million and their 2017 first round pick for illegal selection of helmet colors. Tom Brady is suspended for being generally aware of selectable helmets.

Since the opponent would have viewed film and practiced against the existing color scheme, the integrity of the game would be compromised.
