Brady vs. Manning likely over

I get the feeling if Manning was causing him trouble then he would make some crazy trade with another team.

(and he would still end up with Tommy somehow)

I think BB cuts Manning first.
There's no way in hell BB would've been allowed to do that in the early 2000s. Peyton wouldn't be causing any problems publicly, but you can bet the media would just happen to be getting fed anti-BB pro-PM stories. Based on what we've seen of Bob I think he cracks and either limits BB's power or changes coaches.

Olivia Munn v. Gisele is Mary-Ann v. Ginger part deux

Funny, but not accurate, at least if the tabloid stories of Gisele's pole dancing lessons are to be believed ...

According to a PFT story tonight, not only is Manning planning on returning this season, but he's also stated that he's coming back for 2016---even if that's for another team.

Like I've said many times, there's no way that a diva/attention whore like Manning is going to go out with a fizzle. If he's retiring, we'll all hear about it plenty of times for his farewell tour.

While it's tempting to want to start dancing on his grave at the moment, I'm going to hold off until I'm sure the forehead is 100 percent gone.

100% agreed. There is no way Manning goes out this way and without at least a full year of acknowledging his second bestness.

Yeah, I know that it's been a popular thought since he's started to show signs of diminishing, but there's definitely going to be a handful of teams who will be more than happy to sign him in the offseason.

Now, whether or not he actually leads them to a winning record or not remains to be seen, but we'll be hearing plenty about Peyton's farewell tour this coming offseason, as well as his countless national TV appearances in 2016.

Brady-Manning was great football.
There are no such Magic-Bird, Brady-Manning matches on the horizon for the NYJFL.
This is really depressing for longtime NFL fans who love the game.
But I predict that this will not matter for the greedy owners because until it crashes and burns, Fantasy Football will drive revenue$. Ironic is that Interest is Up as Quality goes Down.
Football and the NFL will continue to thrive despite your misguided predictions.

The SB is THE #1 most watched TV program by a wide margin. That's not going to change. .

"Enjoy" your depression. I think I'll enjoy my NE Patriots on their path to playoffs and another SB.

When football finally "crashes and burns" I guess you'll be there, snorting and chuckling in the barc-o-lounger your trapped in.

I think you may have misinterpreted that quote, OE1. He's simply stating that "fantasy football" is diluting the product and that it's likely to crash and burn, while also saying that it's a shame that we won't have the legendary rivalry anymore. Kind of an innocuous statement, in my opinion.

As far as the barc-o-lounger thought, that old SOB is in better shape than 3/4 of us. (Shakes fist) @PatsWickedPissah. And I'm "only" 40 yrs old and 175 lbs, and still jealous.

They would have to dunk him for best affect.
;)

I'm guessing you could get away with just dunking the one arm, as long as you remembered to tighten up the bolts on the neck first.

Always thought that Mary-Ann was the wild one? Didn't she sell pot with Bob Denver?

Ginger, Mary-Ann--what's the difference? Oh, throw in the Bewitched girl while we're at it. Just not Jeannie. I have a thing against Jeannie for some unknown reason.

Barbara Eden was ahead of her time.

I think Angie ****enson and Victoria Principal are up there for old school attractive actresses...

This thread is officially off course :D

I disagree sup, as dumb as so many teams are a fourth grader could watch him throw and say " daddy, what's the matter with that man's arm." it's dead, period, if it were a college QB coming out he wouldn't have any chance of getting drafted at all. Peyton is done, DONE, dun, dughn, da dun done dughn. Adios senor' payton.

Really? Given the salary he's likely to demand to play, I can't see most GM's being happy to sign him—at least not without conclusive evidence that he's almost 100% healthy. Or at least wait until midway through the season (à la Wes Welker) before pulling the trigger.

Manning on Texans in 2016, you heard it here first. The Texans will not get a top 10 pick as they seem to be in the race for a wild card spot if not winning the division. They have a ton to address and a veteran QB makes sense in this transition. Also they play at least 9 games in a dome.

Manning should've retired after last season.

I don't think Manning is better than Brady, but I think if Manning actually had played for the Patriots under BB, he might've won 3 SBs instead of 1; so a bit of bad luck for him that his coaches were afraid to say no to him and his owner is a crack addict -- Manning probably goes down as the playoff's most under performing elite QB in the game.

Had Manning played for us, we would never make the playoffs.... we all know how cold it gets in Foxboro around January.... Manning would turn to Elsa the frozen princess every year come playoffs time.

Yes. Mary-Ann is the wild one.

It didn't occur to me that Olivia Munn was being classified as the Ginger, so I assumed Giselle was.

Truth be told, I can't think of an actress I'd put at the Ginger end of the spectrum since Karen Valentine. I was going to say Sarah Michelle Gellar, but then I remembered the Council of Elrond spoof video she did with Jack Black ...
