Was talking about this the other day with a good friend of mine who is a longtime Manning fan. It's truly sad that we have probably seen the last Manning Brady matchup. He won't be ready to go in our game and its unlikely we see him in the playoffs. Maybe if they are the 3 seed, they can beat the 6 seed at home and Marvin Lewis can gift us another Brady Manning matchup. It's really upsetting to me as well that they are going to end up 2-2 in the playoffs. I'll give him that 06 game in the dome because at least he earned it to some degree but that 2013 game want even fair. Brady throwing to Collie and Slater. Pisses me off.

Never underestimate the power of Manning's opinion of himself and the excuses he can formulate to blame others for his shortcomings. I'll believe it (last of Brady/Manning) when I see it.

But, honestly, the real Brady/Manning ended last year. Shell of his former self.

Manning should've retired after last season.

I don't think Manning is better than Brady, but I think if Manning actually had played for the Patriots under BB, he might've won 3 SBs instead of 1; so a bit of bad luck for him that his coaches were afraid to say no to him and his owner is a crack addict -- Manning probably goes down as the playoff's most under performing elite QB in the game.

Brady has the greatest regular season win % of all time.
Brady passed Manning for career QB rating.
If Brady plays until he is 42, he will pass Manning all time in passing yards & TDs.

Manning came back for records, but Brady will still go down as the greatest regular season QB ever anyway (and obviously postseason and overall).

Brady-Manning was great football.
There are no such Magic-Bird, Brady-Manning matches on the horizon for the NYJFL.
This is really depressing for longtime NFL fans who love the game.
But I predict that this will not matter for the greedy owners because until it crashes and burns, Fantasy Football will drive revenue$. Ironic is that Interest is Up as Quality goes Down.

This is really heartbreaking. Peyton comes back to set the yards and wins marks and barely breaks the yards mark and only ties the wins record. Its just not right. If Osweiler locks up a playoff spot they could use Peyton to play the week 17 game and honor him as the greatest regular season backup of all time, the GRSBUOAT.

More than anything, I want to see a Reverse Romo: Brock Osweiler to be spectacular...in defeat. I'd love to see a few 33-30 losses with Osweiler throwing for 350+ yards, no picks, and 3 TDs while the Boncos fade from the playoff picture.

The last thing we want is for Manning to reappear like Deputy Leon Bassett and hang on for a few episodes in the playoffs.

If Osweiller is a disaster this week, I still wouldn't bet against Manning next week. Osweiller sucked when he came in last week and just got a garbage time TD against a soft prevent defense. He could have had a couple of picks too.

There are many reasons Brady was and is better than Manning. In my opinion, citing head-to-head results has always been weak. For the most part, they have won the great majority of their home games with Brady having the lion's share due to scheduling...or at least it's been that way since 2004. I would use head-to-head as a tiebreaker if they were equal in other ways, which they are not.
