I suspect the quote below also applies to all the named parties, not just the leagues:

"League officials are now more likely to be subpoenaed and required to testify under oath about their business dealings with DraftKings and FanDuel. As part of the pretrial discovery process, they may also be compelled to share sensitive financial information about the league that could be made public."

NBA and Jerry Jones among those sued over DFS

Sweet! I hope they all need to turn over their text messages and emails as well.

Just great. How the hell am I going to retire now? Well .....it's back to the scratch cards for me.

Would be devasting if fantasy football got shut down for good and we didn't have to hear about it. Just devasting :D.
I've never understood how you can be a real football fan and like fantasy football. The two seem mutually exclusive. It's the ultimate TEAM game and FF runs contrary to that. None of the FF people I've ever known have a favorite team they live and die by. I want to throttle people who say things like, "Well, the Patriots lost but at least my fantasy guy [from the opposing team] did well."

If you treat them as completely different games, you can be a fan of both. One is a game of skill while the other is a game of chance.

Yeah...The NFL is a game of chance :D

Good. Screw them all. How about just running the real football league again?
Because 8 GAZILLION DOLLARS isn't enough. The greed of the owners knows no bounds. It's sickening really. They don't see that they are going to destroy what got them where they are. Kraft is right in there.

If it somehow helps bring the Poison Ginger down, or causes one of his ratdogs to turn on him or even on each other, and start giving us the dirty on what goes on behind the scenes, then I'm all good with it.

I saw something like 1% of all the fantasy players win 90% of the money. Plus once you add to the fact that employees of one were using their inside knowledge (of what layers were and weren't being played) to win on the other site. It may have jumped the (left) shark.

It's not illegal gambling, but it's a fools errand if you think you are ever going to win any money at it. Unles you are a MIT guy.

You have to think that all the sports leagues who have quickly jumped into bed with these sites, might be regretting it.

I dont play for money, I have a league setup for my buddy's kid, a couple nephews and family, free on yahoo. That is why i never take player from the AFCE, and when my FF Team plays against my Pats, Im always rooting for that Pats no matter what, luckily, the pats does not lose too often, if they did, i might have to quit ff

Ben Watson: Opposing player thanked me for helping his fantasy team
Really ****ing pathetic. I'd want to cut any guy on who was happy about a player having a good day against my team (assuming that's what they were inferring).

Hope Kraft and Jones get absolutely croaked over this. Like losing their entire investment plus some significant damages on top of it.

The context for all of this is driven by one single fact: the NFL owners and players are joined at the hip toward the goal of increasing revenue from NFL football as much as possible. They can and will compete and whine about how that total revenue is split up, but that's just the infighting that takes place after the main event is over.

FF offers a massive opportunity to keep ad revenues for the NFL going up, and up, and up, as it keeps those fans of losing teams interested all the way through the season.

NFL Redzone is a fantastic start-up business that will end up being watched by more fans that the actual full games are.

This is where NFL football is headed. And the players are delighted, because they will get a slice of it, and that will increase their income.
