so, it was YOU that stole my Jackie Jensen picture card...I'm on to you now, Jacks!

Next week could get ugly for the goober in chicago. The bears playing well. Weather might be low 40s

going against Brock osweiler because manning is falling apart must feel like a free prescription of cialis for john fox.

Sometimes it's hard to tell when to quit. In 1959, Ted Williams had 272 at bats, 10 home runs, 43 rbis, and batted .254. Previously, he had never hit below .317. The man was going to be 41 years old at the start of the 1960 season. Time to hang it up? But in that last season, he hit .316, had 72 rbis, and 29 home runs in only 310 at bats. With 500 at bats, that is a projected 47 home runs and 116 rbis. He even stole 1 base! I'm glad he stayed around; and I will never forget listening on the radio to his last home run at his last at bat at Fenway.

Dude you're old, lol.

I love how he isn't even going to stick around and try to help the team. Romo, Roethlisberger, they all stuck around, helped game plan, coached up the backup QB, was there for the games. Manning doesn't even give a ****. So selfish, yet the media is still tripping over themselves to make excuses for him. Real classy, Manning...

How do you know this? For real, what a pos.

Romo and Roethlisberger aren't in danger of losing their jobs to the guy playing. Manning is witnessing the end of his career getting benched for a nobody. There's a huge difference. If Brady were in the same position I doubt he would act differently.

I don't believe Brady would have returned with an arm incapable of making most of the throws he had taken for granted for years. Manning returned for records, period, and stayed out there knowing he was hurting his team. It's impossible to respect that. Nothing would make me happier than to see him stuck permanently at 186 wins, touted with Favre and soon to be passed by the GOAT.

Reading too much into it. Could well be that HC felt P6 would be a distraction & wanted EVERYBODY focused on BO and what's needed to make HIM succeed vs Bears.
Brady was not around all the time when Cassel started.

I guess.

The Broncos didn't bring him to Chicago. Heck, things are so bad that even the 4-Tunesmen aren't bringing him to their performance in Dubuque.

Ted was in a neck brace for most of 1959, seriously compromised. In his autobiography he talked about it, and IIRC took a pay cut to come back in 1960.

Somehow I don't see Peyton in the same light.

Peyton Manning and Ted Williams...about the only thing they have in common is a solid technical proficiency in their sport. Even then, Ted Williams as a hitter was just otherworldly. I don't really watch baseball anymore, but look at YouTube vids of Ted Williams hitting...wow.

Peyton demanded complete control of his offense and got it. He insisted his coaches defer to him, and they did.

Brady is the dutiful sergeant of the Pats offense, doing what is necessary on the battlefield, yet respectful of his superiors. He is fiery, but also humble in word and deed. I can't express as a Pats fan how psyched I am every game to see him take the field. :)

Why not? Brady said that Bledsoe helped him out a ton, and Drew knew he wasn't getting his job back.
