Shank trolling Pats fans

Probably, but I'm sure Shank paid off the cops to keep it quiet.
I can't stand Shank and that's well-documented here and elsewhere. I've actually had it out with him on the telephone. His son's run-in with the cops was also well-documented and he went to court and was punished. Also, his daughter, Kate, is a childhood cancer survivor who is undeserving of being brought into a conversation about what a dink he is. He's as big a Pats hater as there is and a major douche. His children should not be included in our dislike of him.

How come more media people don't call him out on his ********? The only two that really do are Thornton and minhane, and know one thinks much of that because ones written off as a homer(Thornton) and the other a psychopath(minihane)

Was Peyton Manning this bad before deflategate?
Was Aaron Rodgers this bad before deflategate?
Was Andrew Luck this bad before deflategate?
There are a lot of factors that go into a QB's performance and almost as many ways to measure it. Fumbles and dropped passes have been embraced by the mediots, but Felger took such a beat down on this that he has retreated to 'we need to wait five years to get a meaningful sample'.

QB Rating is probably a better measure. The list of QBs who are much worse this year than last does not include TB12. Peyton Manning, Joe Flaco, Russel Wilson, and Andrew Luck are double digits worse since ball pressure became an issue.

Peyton and Luck both played in Indy. Indy has a reputation for cheating from pumping noise into the stadium to the Suck for Luck campaign, so no one should be surprised to learn that these guys tampered with equipment. The Hawks are well known for their use of PEDs -- pump up the players, pump down the balls. Rogers admitted to overinflating the balls.

TB12 had the fourth best QBR in 2014 and has the third best this year. His rating is down 3.04. If you go back five years, TFB has consistently been in the top five QBRs and his current QBR is a little better than his average for five years: (71.6+74.64+60+76.7+67.91)/5= 70.17.

Brady 74.64 to 71.6 (-3.04) (3)
Brees 73.41 to 70.45 (-2.96) (5)
Luck 61.54 to 47.57 (-13.97) (10)
Manning, E 65.92 to 68.62 (+2.70) (6)
Manning, P 75.12 to 45 (-30.12) (12)
Rogers 77.4 to 71.06 (-6.34) (4)
Roethlisberger 72.07 to 73.51 (+1.44) (2)
Ryan 70.96 to 65.13 (-5.83) (7)
Wilson 70.68 to 56.69 (-13.99) (9)
Rivers 70.54 to 64.15 (-6.39) (8)
Palmer 67.69 to 82.31 (+14.62) (1)
Flaco 67.02 to 46.66 (-20.36) (11)

The "Curly Haired Boyfriend" has figured out how to be successful as a Boston Mediot, say stupid stuff, be a contrarian and have folks click on your idiotic posts.. see Felcher, Borges, Tanguay, Tomase etc.

It's a good question, and I've wondered about that myself. I have heard Curran make thinly-veiled critical remarks about Shank and vice-versa. Dale Arnold and Michael Holley have mildly whacked him, but largely he goes unscathed. I've heard his peers grudgingly acknowledge his one apparent good quality as a journalist, that being that after he whacks someone in print or on the air he always has the guts to do the same in person. That sets him apart somewhat from other, similar jackasses like Felger and Mazz who whack people but then shrink like cold, wet penises when confronted by their targets. But, Shank is still a first-class, despicable troll.

I wish some guys would go the opposite way and be a total homer and see how fans react. I guess it's the old saying that bad news spreads further than good news.

However, maybe there are enough haters out there to push the fans into more dialog. however, in it's current for it's just the mindless drones calling the patriots cheaters.

Total homer? You need to get yourself some Jerry Thornton!:)

What did they do to him?

Nothing, except be one of the most successful sports franchise owners.

In other words, giving Shanknancy very little ammo.

There are plenty of rumpswabs on this board. There are also plenty of objective fans as well.

The issue that I have is that writers in this town think that Patriots fans are blind, ignorant yahoos who think the team can do no wrong.

I think for that main reason is why the media acts this way. They confuse excitement with homerism and go out of their way to jab, needle and troll the fan base to get our dander up. On top of that, they think they are doing us a favor by offering another viewpoint. The problem is not the viewpoint. The real problem is that their viewpoint is a) uninformed and b) tainted by their pre-disposed position as a troller which destroys their credibility as an objective observer.

In the late 90s the Patriots hosted a breakfast event for the local media. Shank either didn't get an invitation or was turned away at the door. Ever since then, he's hated the Krafts.

See post #95.

.....only those that have never been to Patsfans.com.........

This is why Reis, SMY, Howe, Curran, Price along with Florio, King, Wetzel know differently - - because, THEY have all done their homework and read our forum.

It's the ignoramuses like Shank or MCI who have no clue about what Patriots fans actually talk about who make sweeping and inaccurate generalizations about the "they" they are characterizing.

Yeah for people who make their living calling out other people for being "frauds" felger and mazz are giant cowards for never saying one negative thing about the biggest fraud in the city.

anyone else despise the word "troll" or "trolling"? Maybe it's an age thing..
