OT : Peyton Manning Not Dressing Sunday

I think the one thing I like most about this is that Brady has a chance to pass Manning on total Career wins if he is out. It was only a matter of time, but now if Peyton does not get 3 more wins this year, Brady could take over the all time win record with win #200 at Super Bowl 50.

Manning the petulant child:

Peyton Manning Reportedly Not Helping Brock Osweiler In Meeting Rooms, On Practice Field

According to NFL Network’s James Palmer, with Manning not playing this week due to what the team is calling a left foot injury, the future Hall of Famer has not even been near his team or coaching staff this week.

Manning “hasn’t attended any practices or meetings this week and hasn’t had a single conversation about Sunday’s game plan with Brock Osweiler,” according to Palmer. Mark Haas at CBS Denver has reported the same.

Is it unusual that a starting QB like Peyton isn't helping out? I just want to be fair to him. I don't think Brady was involved in 2008 although it was very quiet about him once he got hurt. Granted he was out for the season.

He will be back next week against us.

Not sure exactly how TB and MC interacted in 2008 but they are very close friends. I would assume that TB would help if Matt or the coaching staff asked him to.

The difference is that Tom puts the team before himself.

Awful to say but I don't get that same sense from Manning.

It's not unusual, and we don't have any surrounding facts. It makes for great click bait, though.

I still don't know why they benched him, it looked to me like he was just hitting his stride in that KC game.

We do know that Bledsoe helped Brady 2000/2001.

For all the great things Drew did on the field, what he did off the field that season it what I respect the most out of him.

He was pissed at BB and smoldered a little. He got his head right, put the team first and helped TB12 grow. He was prepared when his name was called vs Pitt, did the job and came along for the ride at SB 36

He deserves that 2001 SB ring just as much as the next guy for his contributions that season.

Peyton needs lessons from Drew on how to put the team first.

Wow, you guys have really imbibed on the Drew Kool Aid.

I like the guy (bow) but he was not a positive influence on Brady or the Pats that year. Read Mike Holley,

Latest Report from Rappapoft says Peyton its not even going to watch the game, choosing instead to watch highlights from his record breaking performances.
I heard that to ... Mort said he's watching 11/12 of his record breaking games.

Peyton wants a Giants vs Patriots SB less than Patriots fans. A Brady 5th or a little brother 3rd? I think he'd choose roshambo with Gostkowski doing the kicking.

No Kool Aide here.

Patriot Reign. Bledsoe was helpful. Pg 45.

And here is the answer to the complete non-story:

For clarity-Kubiak told Peyton Manning on Monday he was excused from practice/meetings/game so he could concentrate on rehab

As explained by Mike Klis of 9news.com, Kubiak excused Manning from all meetings, practices, and games so that he could focus on rehabilitating and recovering from his injuries.

That’s a more ominous vibe than what emerged from a Thursday night report from James Palmer of NFL Media, who accurately explained that Manning hasn’t attended meetings or practices — and added that Manning hasn’t spoken to Brock Osweiler about the game plan.

Klis, however, explains that Manning told Osweiler on Monday, “Go win this game for us. If you need anything I’m here for you.”

Peyton Manning not traveling with the Broncos

Wow, the Broncos better hope he doesn't demand a trade......

According to Mike Klis Manning told Osweiler to "go win one for "Peyton,"and if you need anything Gary should be around somewhere and he can help you."
