Tom Brady's interview with GQ

STFU you bigoted hater of us metrosexuals!

At your age is there really much of the sexual part going on?

Reminder: The 20 something nurse changing out your catheter does not count.

Florio thinks Brady needs to sit for an interview and let the truth come out after the legal proceedings are done.

I actually agree with Florio on that. Once the current case and any future related cases are completely, finally over, he should give his side of the story. The tough part is figuring out who. You want it to be with some national guy so it'll be taken seriously (and to screw over the local mediots) but it needs to be someone who's not some agenda-ridden hack (bye-bye ESPN, Peter King, etc.).

Forget that.... it's Roger Goodell that needs to get interviewed so we know the REAL truth.
Dont think it will happen. Because as brady says, whateve he says, people who hate the pats will form their own opinions anyway.

Brady faces #DeflateGate questions, avoids them
What’s amazing is that anyone from Brady’s camp or the Patriots allowed the GQinterview to even happen. At a time when Brady does the bare minimum when it comes to weekly media availability (once during the week and once after each game) to a press corps smart enough to devote their limited access to questions he’ll actually answer, the fact that Brady would submit to any interview that he can’t control (e.g., with the team’s official website . . . EXCLUSIVE!) isn’t just surprising — it’s shocking.
This i agree with. Brady's PR team needs to be taken to task. Between them and Don Yee doing radio rounds, I dont think they did brady a favor at all in my personal opinion.

This Chuck guy simply would not take no for an answer, glad Tom shut him down.

Allow me to answer the questions for TB12: I didn't do anything.....and Goodell is a simp.

There is really nothing tom needs to say in an interview to clear his name. He was cleared by the courts and if anyone bothered to read and examine the wells report they would know nothing happened except some misconstrued texts messages. I'm glad he didn't answer anything because if they really wanted the truth, a little investigation, would reveal the truth, but they don't want the truth because it doesn't sell papers.

Brady has already answered all of these questions, under oath. It would be stupid both publicitywise and legalwise to answer them again. You knew want to answer the same question twice (in court) because any difference in your answer could really mess your case up.

Brady's team, should have vetted the questions, or course, they had no idea that the writer would be a cry baby loser about the whole thing.

I think once the NFJL appeal is done, hopefully Brady sues them for defamation.

Agree with all those here that say this writer comes off like a Grade A douche. He was able to get an interview with Brady under the false pretense of being GQ "Man Of The Year" and used the opportunity to fire question after question about The Wells Report

The douche even tries to intimidate Brady by saying that it will look bad for Brady if he doesn't answer.
I thought that looked a little like attempted blackmail as well, Mitch.

got almost halfway through Simmons' podcast with this klosterman guy. to me he sounds desperate, grasping at straws. if Tommy Flanagan were a beta nerd, he would sound like this guy. "Brady cheated because...because he's so competitive! Yeah dat's it! Dat's the ticket! That's irrefutable proof! Just ask my wife....Morgan Fairchild! Yeah dat's it!"

just Chuck Klosterman being Chuck Klosterman. He's always been a whiny, self-important douchebag, and his appearance on Bill Simmons' podcast exposed how ridiculous his reasoning was. It basically came down to "not wanting to talk about it means he's guilty, ongoing litigation be damned." Even after Simmons pointed out that the IGL explained every last bit of the 'underinflation', Klosterman acknowledged that that may be the case but he chose not to believe it for... reasons?

I've never understood his popularity, didn't realize there was such demand for whiny, nebbish ******** with no actual insight. He's Malcolm Gladwell minus everything that makes Malcolm Gladwell great (informed and interesting perspective, genuine insight, educational value, an engaging style of writing). And Gladwell, FWIW, has pretty much the opposite opinion on the whole thing: that Goodell is a malicious idiot and there's no real evidence that Brady actually did anything.

See, I don't get this. There is no 'his side' of the story if the footballs deflated naturally (and science says they did). What exactly is he going to sit down and talk about?

People cannot take Klosterman seriously. All he does is take the mainstream line of thinking and does his little silly spin on it.

The guy was on Adult Swim. What else do you need to know?

With that said seems like there was some kind of miscommunication along the way?

Not sure who screwed up? GQ? Klosterman? Brady's handlers or Brady himself getting cold feet?

Tom Brady didn't answer my questions to my liking. Even though his answers to those questions have already been answered, are well documented and have been hashed, rehashed, and rehashed again for the past 10 odd months. But no, he didn't answer those same exact questions posed to him by me, Charles Klosterman III, Esquire, the way *I* wanted them answered. Don't you know who I am? Therefore cheater.

From what the GQ author stated in subsequent interviews, his agents were promised a no limits interview by Brady's agents. Either someone is lying, or Brady was ill served by his agents. The GQ interview did Brady no favor and that effeminate photo of him lying on the couch is just weird. Like the cover, though.

Brady was smart to not answer, he knew that once he answered the first DG question that many more would follow. As KF**k says:

"But I still needed to establish that (seemingly predictable) denial as a baseline, in order to ask the questions I was much more interested in. Specifically…"

Brady shut him down and he got pissed. Good job Tommy.
