He's not bored by it ,Zeus, he's confused by it. My roommate at B.U. was a comm major way back when. He complained to me how tough intro to college math was for him. I showed him the first chapter of my intro to engineering physics. He thought it was a foreign language.

I don't think he is confused by it rather just too lazy to figure it out. Even if he could not figure out the Ideal Gas Law he could have used the simplified Gay-Lussac's Law which was what Exponent used for their findings in the Well's report anyways. IF the Gay-Lussac's Law was too tough he could have used deductive reasoning and simply looked at the nice little chart in the Well's report that stated that a ball would lose X amount of pressure in an X amount of temperature drop.

He didn't want to figure it out because it would not fit his contrarian click bait scheme.

Just trying to think...what else could CHB stand for besides Curly Haired Boyfriend?

Completely Hallucinogenic Bozo?
Clueless Harpy Bellyacher?
Corrupt Harebrained Buffoon?

Come on. Give us your best!

It's sad that there are as many, if not more, references to the Shank types here as there are to the Reiss types.

Now, if someone wanted to do a piece on how much worse some of the QBs of other teams have been this year now that the NYJFL is using properly inflated balls, THAT would be worth reading.

Boston has quite a bunch of troll/contrarians in the local media, I often wonder if this is unique to our area or do other media markets also have their troll groups. It seems like the Boston trolls outnumber the other Boston media by a 2:1 margin. And this is happening with the Boston teams experiencing unparalleled success over the last 15 years.

Is Boston the place to be if you're a sports writer who wants to make a career by trying to piss off the local sports fans?

No doubt the Ideal Gas Law folks can explain why Patriots are fumbling more often, and dropping more passes at home this year. #Just sayin'

LOL and he's wrong on both anyway.

What a douche! Now we know Shank can count but, like all the media fools, comprehending is a major personal shortcoming. One would think that a journalism education has pre-enrollment metrics that favor the absence of logic & work ethics.

I wonder if the contrarian schtick would work in Jacksonville or any other less dedicated fan base.

It doesn't matter really. After deflategate I now know they are not interested in getting things right rather they are only interested in ratings and doesn't matter how they get them.

...

Yeah, Shankacrybaby pushes my buttons sometimes but you know what? It makes me come alive that I can even harbor the thought of folding his bluffing hand, which I could do in public. Being a member here and a Patriots fan since 60 has taught me one solid lesson. To a man/woman, every single person I've ever befriended because of this fanship, every single one, is a human being of far far superior quality than a self loathing shytbag like Shanks. It is then that I realize, once again, that there is no need to harbor ill thoughts toward this human rodent, this curly red haired hamster, for it is HE that must live out his pathetic, loathsome existence in his own skin. When his time winds down and he faces the big adios, it is then that he will realize that the world bids him a quick farewell, never to be heard from again. Thank God.

Whew! Giving thanks I've never met Joker

**** Shaughnessy, **** Felger, **** Maz, **** Volin, **** Tomase... **** em all.

They wont be satisfied until this team is in the dumpster, and then they'll troll Pats fans for being Pats fans. Its what they do. God forbid they do something constructive with their lives.
What? No love for ****in Borges?:D

Felger and some caller were talking about this the other day, last I looked at the stats they didn't have an argument so not sure what stats they were cherry picking to make their argument, it aggravated me so I switched the station.
That original column about the Patriots fumbling has been debunked, as the study itself cherry picked statistics to support a previously reached conclusion. In other words, form an opinion first and then search for stats to back yourself up, rather than looking at stats to then form an opinion - as should be done in any unbiased scientific study or statistical analysis.

For example that original column excluded dome teams, included k-footballs, and also used a five-year total rather than individual seasons. When you look at the individual years the Patriots ranked best by far in one season, but did not lead the league in any of the four other years; the untrue implied message is that the Patriots led the NFL every year, and by a wide margin in each of those seasons. The author also included Brandon Tate in his 'w/Pats vs not w/Pats' stats, but get this: he included Tate's fumbles as punt and kickoff returner, yet only included his total number of touches as a receiver.

As we have seen multiple times now, casual fans (and lazy writers) only remember the original story (or more accurately, the original headline and summary) - without considering counterpoints or even having an open mind about the accuracy of the initial story. It happened with Tomase's false story about a walk-through; it happened with Mortensen's false story about the air pressure in footballs; and it happened again in the 'scientific' study about fumbling.

All three of those stories proved to be wildly inaccurate, but the public as a whole remembers the initial story - and completely misses the follow up. The situation then gets exacerbated when the false initial story is repeated; i.e., a myth gets repeated often enough it eventually becomes accepted as fact.

Easily. It's called a small sample size. Most people who are even passingly familiar with high school statistics wouldn't need to have this explained to them, but CHB is ******ed so we can give him a pass.

Off the top of my head, pretty sure the Pats' fumbles have come from a strip sack, 2 by Dion Lewis (who wasn't on the team last year) and Edelman after he broke his finger. Clearly it's all about ball inflation.
