I know this is beating a dead horse, but I was listening to ESPN radio (this is local Seattle radio, but John Clayton's segment) and got so mad I had to post.

Clayton was talking about how Rex Ryan was being aggressively being interviewed by the Boston media. He takes it as an opportunity to bash the Patriots again on deflategate.

I'm paraphrasing what he said:

<BEGIN CLAYTON PARAPHRASE>
The New England media has been aggressive since deflategate. They were all over Chris Mortenson for not retracting a report when he had a scoop. He was right. The balls WERE deflated. He posted some PSI numbers and there was some scientific discussion of it, but Chris did a great job!
<END CLAYTON PARAPHRASE>

I was just shocked at the level of ignorance of national ESPN media. I used to think a lot of it was ESPN trying to stay in good graces with the NFL, but that was just so uninformed that I don't believe that anymore.

I've said on here many times that I don't believe the Wells report could withstand any independent scrutiny. I can't think of anyone who argues the NFL's side who doesn't argue in circles. And, I understand most fans won't read everything -- just like I didn't on bullygate. But, those comments from someone who covers the NFL for a living -- it's just incomprehensible.

Vent over.

He is doing what the idiots at ESPN are trained to do: Create a villain, play to the lowest common denominator, and repeat a lie so much that it becomes the truth.

The last I heard about Mort was when he lied that the Krafts apologized to him, so I just looked at his twitter account to see if he was still active

He's still writing tweets, but every one gets a bunch of comments from Patriots fans trolling him about "11 of 12".

While I think it's pretty funny, I'm also reminded of how much Kensil completely f'ed this guy over.

A well known BSPN reporter seizing an opportunity to subtly stand up for another well known BSPN reporter, a long-time colleague who was rightfully skewered for being a lying POS.

Yep.

Hurt....and shocked...and hurt.

Other than Schefter and Bruschi, is there another analyst or journalist in that sewer who's not a whining, lying crybaby?

darren woodson is alright...

as for clayton, he's upset that the seahawks still haven't recovered from tb12/the butler.
he's a hardcore seattle fan...just butthurt that his teams run is over.

:cool:

It doesn't bother me anymore...since I don't watch ESPN or the trolls on the radio at 2...I really don't hear it.

An Explosive! ESPN story is unfolding. A published report indicates the Main Stream Media has decided to go on the public record to defend Main Stream Media inaccuracies/lies.

Stay tuned. Additional Blockbuster! details to follow....

Kessler's response brief is due Dec 7 and I'm counting down the days. Once the current court battle over comissioner power is over we can see lawsuits for defamation and fraud against the NFL, Goodell, and ESPN.
