Shank trolling Pats fans

The Patriots have 9 fumbles through 9 games, on pace for 16 fumbles all season.

Last season they had 13 through 16

The previous season they had 23 through 16

In 2012 they had 14 through 16.

Literally half of this seasons fumbles have come off Brady strip sacks due to him being hit from behind. Edelman fumbled once and Lewis twice. No other receiver or running back has fumbled.

These are all straight from the stats on NFL.com So where are all these extra fumbles exactly? Seems to me that the rate is just about the same as other years. (And WAY better than 2013) Am I reading things wrong?

I see Hubbach was arfing and clapping at Shank's tweet. LOL

Yesterday I flipped a coin 10 times and got 4 heads & 6 tails
Today I flipped a coin 10 times and got 4 tails and 6 heads.
There is no "reason" for the difference other than random variability.

People with no knowledge about statistics and no appreciation for random error or natural variability love to identify imaginary boogeymen in the data, if it fits their agenda.

Why did Patriots fumbling rate go down in 2007, after being high in 2006, after the ball prep rule changed BEFORE the 2006 season, and after being lower in 2005?

Random variability is a possible answer.

There may be concrete answers, like Edelman's mangled finger, contributing to the small data sets as well, in this case. But if cheating is your go-to answer, you can always find a way to justify it.

A few questions:

1. Did you flip the same coin?
2. Inside or outside or both?
3. Was there a fan near by? On or off?
4. Did you text anyone about your coin flipping process?

You expect us to believe the results of your coin flipping test but fail to provide the details. I think your hiding something. :)

Sincerely Shaughnessy

That's an overly-flattering depiction of Shank. He's not nearly that good-looking. Plus, he hasn't smiled like that (other than those rare occasions the Pats lose) since he was in the fourth grade on Christmas morning.

My problem with fumbling stats is they count strip sacks, which is horsesh*t. That's not a fumble, it's a great defensive play, and at times moronic QB play.

There's no fumble argument if people don't include the QB fumbles. Therefore, you will see them all include the QB fumbles.

The ideal gas law is when Shank STFU so there's no leakage from his decaying jack-o-lantern look-a-like skull.

**** Shaughnessy, **** Felger, **** Maz, **** Volin, **** Tomase... **** em all.

They wont be satisfied until this team is in the dumpster, and then they'll troll Pats fans for being Pats fans. Its what they do. God forbid they do something constructive with their lives.

No doubt the Ideal Gas Law folks can explain why Patriots are fumbling more often, and dropping more passes at home this year. #Just sayin'
-----------
LOL and he's wrong on both anyway.
I am not going to look up dropped passes (since I consider that an extremely subjective statistic so it isn't exactly my favorite), but I did look up fumbles. You're right when you say Shank Shaugnessey is wrong.

In 2014, the Patriots fumbled 0.9 times per home game and 0.9 times per road game for an overall average of 0.9 fumbles per game. (The fact that their home and away rates are identical implies no cheating was taking place).

In 2015 (through 9 games), the Patriots have fumbled 0.8 times per home game and 1.2 times per road game for an overall average of 1.0 fumbles per game.

The fact is they are fumbling at slightly higher overall rate overall, but with fewer fumbles per game at home (which is where the alleged "cheating" took place).

That's actually why the Patriots have had fewer fumbles than the rest of the league over the past decade. Morons see the Patriots fumbling at a low rate and conclude they are cheating, but that ignorantly presumes that fumbles are a random phenomenon striking all teams at the same rate like some random number generator.

Amazing how a great QB who can read defenses and get rid of the ball on time fumbles it a lot less than, say, a guy who stands in the pocket forever (I'm looking at you, Andrew Luck, and your 13 fumbles last year).

when isn't the Curly Haired Boy Friend Not trolling Patriot fans?

I have a rental car for a few days, as mine is in the shop. This car monitors air pressure in its tires, so naturally I was fixated on this. Yesterday when I left for work in the morning, it was a balmy 30 degrees. The PSI in the tires averaged 29. Lo and behold, between the friction on the tires from my 40 minute commute, as well as the roughly 7 to 8 degree warming up in temperature, the average PSI in the tires increased to an average of about 33.5 Who would've thought? (Other than the Ideal Gas Law, and other assorted nonsense).
You'd better get Tom Brady and his lockerroom hacks over to your house to let some air out of the tires before you return it to the rental company...

There was one by Blount, but yea, blindside hits on a QB with his arm ****ed back will generally result in fumbles. All fumbles aren't the same, unless you're trying to make the "evidence" conform to your argument.

Fvk him and all the haters. The Pats beat em on the feild, they beat at pressers, they beat em in court, and shut up when baited, and just WIN! Just listen to Rex's presser today. The Pats own them all. And the owners, the media, Goodell can't do 5h!t about it

And this curly haired boyfriend will probably be on one of the CSN shows tonight or tomorrow and the host will tease it, like fans are waiting with baited breath to hear what f#cking Shank has to say.

****erson: Up next, Patriots fans, see what Shaughnessy has to say about the Patriots fumbling and deflategate! When we come back...

And of course, ****erson will be all smarmy and acting like pats fans should F#cking be afraid of the surly haired boyfriend,.....F Shank

If these Mediots had any professionalism, they would be looking at the stats of all the "Super bowl bound" QB's they were fawning over all off season. How have Rodgers, Peyton, Luck, ...etc, been doing since they started checking pressure. Maybe there should be an investigation into that. I mean that's as much evidence that they had to frame TB.

Self loathing, loathsome media troll...the Shaughnessy family must be so proud
