Joseph Fauria signed to Practice Squad

That was pathetic. I jumped off the game thread at that point. The sense of entitlement from some 'fans' for a blowout every game defies logic.

My attitude was: These types are going to be taught a lesson in NEP etiquette by the NEP.

At the same time, I was shocked that they had not learned it already.

Seriously. I mean, did they miss the Ravens playoff game? Or the freakin' SUPER BOWL?!?! And that's just recent history.

To be fair, it's not like the Lions are the greatest evaluators of talent.

Just to clarify, it was the Cardinals who cut Fauria from their practice squad -- over a month ago, I believe.

A very interesting move.

If Chandler is cut the Pats save $1.5m+ off next years cap and ~$1.2m+ over the remainder of his deal.

Wonder if they are thinking of Williams being more used at OT?

I doubt is means much of anything, other than a body they are intrigued by. Had he been signed to the 53 that would be more significant.

I agree. They like their TE's tall thats for sure.

How anyone could participate in the game thread is beyond me. I tried it once and that was enough. I have enough problems in my own house with people being negative; I don't need 300 more chicken littles chiming in (I know it's probably not that many, but it seemed like it). Save your sanity. Watch in silence. I tried it this past weekend and liked the only sounds being my own screams :)

If you cannot even make the Lions practice squad.....yeah.

If you can't even make the Browns....yeah (Dion Lewis)
If you can't even get drafted before the 10th round (Troy Brown)
If you can't even make it on the Jets (Danny Woodhead)
If you can't even get drafted before the 6th round....

Etc.

MOD ALERT: I am currently being harassed by the knowledge of the existence of @fnordcircle, please ban asap, thx.

I dub thee Emperor of Enmity heretofore...and for future reference:cool:

Thanks for pointing that out. I believe I was answering another poster at that time. Nonetheless, based on his rookie TD production it is worth giving him a look. However, the fact that he could not stick with the Cardinal's practice squad is a bit discouraging. Bruce Arians is a fantastic coach. But other teams' failures tend to find a niche in New England. Hopefully that ends up being the case again.

You don't want to go down this road with me, @Joker. I have more power on these forums than you will ever know. Ban me? You cannot ban an idea. You cannot ban a force of nature.

Just as with the rest of the board, the blind homers in the game threads can be just as bad as the Chicken Littles.

Kept punting inside the Ravens 40. You shouldn't ever punt in opposing territory unless it's forth and long. I think I remember punting at like the 35ish. That's inexcusable you have to go for it or kick it.

When we went for it on 4th and 13 instead of Gost kicking a 49yd field goal in the 2007 SB...I freaking lost it. I felt that was inexcusable (esp after a 3 point loss).

4 TE sets!! I love it!

Gronk, Chandler, Fleming, Stork, Andrews, Jackson, Cannon, Williams, Fauria

Brady

Mason

Bount

I count 12, but I like the look!

If you cannot even make the Lions practice squad.....yeah.

I have a friend who is a Lion's fan that is pretty convinced that, outside of Gronk and Brady, none of New England's offensive skill players are talented enough to make the Lion's roster.

And he's not trolling, he's just frustrated that a bunch of talent can't win anything and that Belichick can make winners out of anybody.

I see no point in watching a game as a fan if you're not continually strategizing ways the NEP can close out a game for the W, game clock willing. Saying no way the Pats win this in the 2nd QTR is being a Debby Downah. That said, an emotional outburst "Chandler sucks!" after he drops a pass is not being a Chicken little.

I was telling my (uninterested) kids on Sunday, "THIS is the kick Bill Belichick should have tried in the Superbowl in 2007!" Glad he made it this time, and wish we tried it then.

a while ago fauria was joking saying his nephew would eventually join the pats.
and it finally happened lol

Remember watching him at UCLA thinking he was gonna be amazing in the NFL. Really glad Pats have a chance to develop him. He could be a great third TE in this offense.

Has anyone ever thrown a TD to an uncle and nephew before?
