The more I read about a "jones fracture" the more optimistic I become that Edelman will be back for the Jets game on 12/27.

It will work out well, he can play a limited role against the Jets and Dolphins to finish the season, then have a bye week and come out full go in the division game.

I highly doubt that BB & staff will take any chances on Edelman re-injuring his foot! Especially if we have already clinched HFA! We'll need him to be as close to a 100% as possible for the postseason!

If the Pats have clinched a bye, Edelman won't be active. If the Pats have clinched the first seed, anyone who's even a little banged up won't see the field and starters will play a very limited number of snaps.

6 weeks puts him available for Miami. I don't think you'll see him again till the playoffs. Makes no sense to rush him back

He gets back when he gets back. No point in risking further injury for what may amount to a meaningless division game.

I hate to see him gone, but part of me is intrigued by what Brady can do with Harper. I think that kid is a stud in the making....I hope.

Looks more and more like Dobson wasn't that good to begin with.

Maybe, maybe not. Hard to say how things would've gone if he hadn't had to spend his entire first offseason rehabbing a pretty severe foot injury.

If he's ready, put him in. If he's not, keep him out. Seems overly simplistic but that's what needs to happen. Foot injuries to skill position players are nothing to screw around with.

Depends where we are with the division and HFA and if we have lost a game by them . If most of them are clinched, BB will opt to rest him even if he is cleared I think.

Is this like Edelman's injury (easily re-injured)? Or is this type of fracture more likely to be all set when declared as healed?

So what's the disease you have the medical marijuana prescription for?

agreed, id much rather have him stay out the rest of the regular season and come back after the first round bye fully healthy. They kind of did that last year with him when they held him out of the last two games of the season
