Joseph Fauria signed to Practice Squad

That could be fun. He's a huge red zone target.

He had seven TD's in his rookie year? At the very least, he seems serviceable in the red zone. I still have nightmares from that 2012 AFC championship against the Ravens, when we couldn't score in the red zone. All game we had moved through that defense like Swiss cheese in between the 20's. But all those drives resulting in zero points, especially in the second half. Any red zone potential is good. Anything more is gravy.

Chandler can't catch too well and likely can't block well either because willaims play more than he does so even though he is big he is a little disappointing. At least fauria can catch and 30% of his catches has gone for tds.
I have been disappointed in Chandler up to this point too, but I'm still holding judgment because I think he still has the potential to be a valuable asset in the colder weather and he has proven in Buffalo that he can be a weapon. I'm willing to give him a little longer.

If you cannot even make the Lions practice squad.....yeah.

Not even a full season and people are throwing in the towel on a player.

Weird. Maybe if we reached deep into the past and really, really pondered history we'd find an example of where doing this exact same thing was stupid.

You know, like Brandon LaFell.

Let's hope that Chandler's break out game happens against Buffalo this Monday night. Except that his breakout comes along with a victory unlike Lafell's against the Chiefs.

To be fair, it's not like the Lions are the greatest evaluators of talent. Even when they do find it they under-develop it or waste it away. Calvin Johnson was an all-world talent comparable to Moss, however outside of a 3-4 year period, he has not truly lived up to his potential.

It's hard to equate success and failure based on the lions. Some games they don't even make an effort to incorporate Calvin Johnson into the game plan.

Not being incorporated into the game plan is a lot different than being dropped off the practice squad.

Not a bad addition at all. I suspect he'll be activated off the practice squad once he gets the playbook down.

Kept punting inside the Ravens 40. You shouldn't ever punt in opposing territory unless it's forth and long. I think I remember punting at like the 35ish. That's inexcusable you have to go for it or kick it.

Just like Dion Lewis couldn't make the Colts or Browns . . .

Dion Lewis was injured. And if you expect me to equate Dion Lewis to Fauria...well come on now. I have watched both those players in the past and Lewis has always been dynamic...Fauria has been too soft.

I've not seen anything saying Lewis was injured during his time with the Colts.

That game was frustrating. Nothing went right, especially in the second half starting with Wes' drop. That game was an absolute clusterfvck from to beginning to end.

I'm actually feeling better about Chandler now, as he joins a LONG line of Pats players who have had people calling for their ouster including:

Edelman
Amendola
LaFell
Kline
Wendell
Connolly
Solder
Hightower
McCourty
Chung
Cannon
Ryan
Etc
Etc
Etc

:D

He wasn't. And his injury with the Browns is irrelevant, they could have still kept him. I don't see the Patriots releasing him because he's injured.

I have no idea if Fauria will stick more than a week but to say he sucks because he was available is very short sighted.

Dion Lewis' short stint with Colts forgettable for all involved

When I asked him if seven days was quick enough to develop a bond with any former Colts teammates, he said, "I'm just focused on the bond I have with my teammates here. That bond means a lot to me, so I'm going to work as hard as I can to make sure we get this win on Sunday."

Not comparable to Fauria situation in any way

He was not injured with the colts. He was cut to make room for a tackle. We should be happy some of these bottom tier teams can't evaluate talent because sometimes we can find some gems.
