one of the more annoying players....we get it jj, you work so hard.
all of the commercials are ridiculous.

" you mess with me, ya got problems " ok JJ....cant wait to play this douchebag

Why would anybody freak out over the BB gun comment? It's very tame as far as insults go.
I am the least PC person in the world.......That being said....Ask any kid with red hair the verbal abuse they have had to deal with all their life. Socially, they live with a stigma that has yet to be confronted by the PC police and I absolutely believe Dalton is sensitive about the label and views it as mean spirited stereotyping. I agree with him. Tagging someone with the label "red" or "ginger" etc. is the equivalent of bullying and there is no room in our society for petty attacks.
My son had a coach that openly referred to a red-headed player as "ginger" and the result was the other players adopted the same name. You could visibly see how this nickname deflated the kid every time it was spoken. I confronted the coach and gave him the choice of rectifying the problem he created or letting the school administration handle what I considered, at a bare minimum, bullying. The coach was ignorant but not a fool and he wisely did a 180 and changed his ways and had a sit down with the players he corrupted.
Regarding Watt.......IMO....an example of an unfiltered "dumb jock" culture gone unchallenged for too long. I just wish Dalton was more forthcoming regarding his irritation instead of dancing on the edges.
Just my two cents.

The last paragraph gives away the intent here, to make fun of the rest of us for calling someone a hypocrite based on one inconsistency.

J.J. Watt is not the man we thought he was! He is a goddamn deceitful liar. If his "minimalist" "log cabin" with "no frills" is such a dirty lie, how can we believe him at all? I bet he doesn't even work out at all. Probably isn't even good at football. Man. Doesn't have a log cabin, doesn't work out, doesn't even play in the NFL. What isn't he lying about?
Not really. That's Deadspin being Deadspin. This is another example of Watt passing himself off as a down home country boy when he's not. His "burns" are not only lame, they're clearly rehearsed. He's a chronic showboater. It's not the worst thing in the world, but he's still a tool.

Here's my 2 cents, he plays in the NFL. NFL players are grown men that are full of testosterone, and they love to talk ****. Hell, look at our own QB, he talks more **** than most players.

It's the NFL, you can't have thin skin. Dalton needs to learn that it is what it is. If Dalton can't accept that players are going to make fun of him because he's a ginger than he should just get out of the league because it's gonna happen regardless.

Yeah I pretty much agree. I just think Dalton coud've aired his grievance a lot more articulately instead of clumsily tip toeing around what he really meant by using phrases 'like integrity'.

Obviously not

Obviously not
You just can't help yourself can you? Cruising this site...always on a mission to project superiority. Man....your act is so tired.

I can't stand Watt because he is everywhere and it annoys me. He is on too many commercials and stuff. I thought Manning was bad enough but then I saw Watt and Manning in a Papa John's commercial. Almost broke the tv out of anger and annoyance

He looked great on Monday night!! Handing a L to the Bengals was a good thing. I'm not interested in his comments or wood splitting technique.

Part of me really feels like Dalton got Watt's quote out of context though. The way it sounded, he seemed like the only thing he was told about Watt's post game interview was the Red rifle BB gun joke.

Watt pretty much cleared himself saying Dalton was a great player immediately after. I think Daltons firing back had to do with only hearing part of the context.

After watching Hard Knocks, I find this guy increasingly irritating. More and more he strikes me as a self-aborbed dink. Obviously, he's a terrific player and if you're not absolutely sure of that, just ask him.
being from texas.....i tend to agree

aside from being a great player, he was originally beloved for his charity work with kids

i think it is genuine.....but it has been eclipsed by his nonstop showboating and tooting of his own horn

obviously not the worst thing in the world

Texas? I thought you were from west L.A.? BTW, can I call you "Tooter" from now on?

watt went after the titans QB for no reason. Kinda lost some respect for me then. Plus everyone keeps saying he is the best player in the league but he cant get his team more than 4 wins.

Titans QB?

And you do realize the Texans have had crap at QB for a while now, right?

I had actually thought Watt said something crazy. Then I found his quote. Dalton needs to grow some.

There's a difference between a rookie that takes too many selfies, to the point where he's called "The King of Selfies," and a football team wearing an article of clothing for a game.
The rookie didnt do anything to mock or disrespect the texans .There was no reason for watt to go after him after a win. These guys came wearting letterman jackets to a pats game and the following year nicknamed the pats game in houston 'homecoming' . When they win they yap but then disappear when they lose.

JJ Watt is very thirsty... He is riding ***** between Justin Bieber and 50 Cent in the most desperate for attention men car.
