After watching Hard Knocks, I find this guy increasingly irritating. More and more he strikes me as a self-aborbed dink. Obviously, he's a terrific player and if you're not absolutely sure of that, just ask him.

I don't understand why you think that. The BB gun comment was dumb, but not a big deal. He said it while he was still on the field and excited about the win. I don't see that much different than Gronk talking about throwing Sergio Brown out of the club. He's a confident young guy who is arguably the best defensive player in football. In Hard Knocks, I saw him showing that confidence and enthusiasm. I also saw him being very kind to fans. I wish we had him.

Yesterday morning D & C were saying the same thing: That Watt is beginning to act like a D-Bag. They didn't go into why they thought that though. Other than Watt's comment about Dalton after the game on Monday (which really didn't sound that bad to me), why are people starting to hate on him?

Tom Curran was also calling him one of the three biggest frauds in the NFL who's like a walking JJ Watt commercial all the time. Cam Newton was one of the other two he put on the list and third name escapes me.

If you are a Stoolie you know why Watt is a huge tool. Pres and Big Cat have had numerous blogs with examples of why he is.

Andy Dalton is fast becoming the NFL version of the PGA's Colin Montgomerie. Makes a ton of money. Good numbers. Speaks highly of himself. Cracks under pressure. Has rabbit ears.

Anyone who has seen Christmas Story gets the joke.

Watt may in fact be a self-absorbed jerk but the comment itself was harmless.

This forum would be tripping over themselves to defend him if he was on the Pats. Most non-Pats fans think Edelman is a tool and a doucher for the same reasons but, here, he's just showing "fire" everytime he talks ****. It would be the exact same with Watt.

I almost had words with a Browns fan at the bar I was at Sunday watching the game because he said "good", followed by "**** that big mouth little c*cksucker", as Edelman came off the field. But then I remembered that he's a Browns fan and wasn't worth the effort. So I just locked eyes with him, laughed, and shook my head. But that's the way it goes. Edelman is one of the more hated Pats outside of New England for the same reasons people are bagging on Watt.

Yeah Watt is a kind of tool, he's kind of funny too though.

Yeah I could see that. Kinda like Steve Smith and Kevin Garnett. If you're going to talk ****, gotta at least back it up which these guys do. Gotta say what Steve Smith did to Talib on that Monday night (at like 35 years old too) was awesome and then the "ice up son" comment lmao.

That was a funny after game comment but daltons reaction afterwards was even funnier when he brought integrity into it. He was almost in tears.

People like that aren't even worth the 2 calories you burn turning your neck to look at them.

They aren't fans. They are people who channel life's frustrations and their own issues and personal failings towards the desire to see someone else in misery.

Pathetic.

Gronk only did that in retaliation. Sergio Brown was yapping in Gronk's face all game. Did Dalton say anything bad about Watt that we're not aware of?

Another thing I've noticed about Watt compared to other defensive players: When a DL or a LB batts down a pass, they don't throw a parade over it. You saw it with Nink a few games ago. What did Nink have in that game (the Jets game, right?), like 5 batted down passes? Didn't make a big deal out of any of them. But it's not just Nink. It's the same with any front-7 player on any team....Except Watt. Every time he batts down a pass, he has to throw a party to celebrate it. After the dead ball, he pauses in the opponent's backfield to make sure he has the stage to himself, finds the end zone camera, and does his little finger wag. I've even seen him do it a few times when his team was down by multiple scores, on their way to another pathetic loss. People who think he's a humble hard-working guy are only half right.

I have no idea why Dalton got his panties in a bunch over Watt's comment. Don't players normally trash talk each other on the field to brutal levels? How can he be so thin skinned? Watt's comment sounded like a rated G line out of a Disney movie.

nice sig...

The finger wag is showing homage to Dikembe Mutumbo. Every time Dikembe blocked a shot, he would do the finger wag. Every time JJ blocks a pass, he does the finger wag.

It's not a big deal, really.
