I don't like Payton, but I like Archie. Always a class act, IMO. Don't like to see him agonizing over his son's poor performance. It must be really hard to watch this happen to your son.

Maybe he should have advised his son then that retiring on a high note is more important than chasing some meaningless record (who even knew that record belonged to Farve anyways?), while making a complete fool out of yourself with all these picks. I guess when you don't have any postseason/superbowls success, all you can chase is some meaningless stat. Enjoy the record, forehead.

why does this picture exist? Were they filming Archie's reaction to Peyton setting the record? Because if it was, what little sympathy I felt for Peyton has vanished.

Archie should be used to losing.

You know, it's pretty ****ing hilarious that everyone just thought Archie Manning sucked when he played - but the revisionist history on him since Peyton and Eli were good is pretty amazing.

Archie Manning was a below-average QB. Yes, he was on bad teams, but he's also part of the reason they were bad teams.

Rant over.

Back on the morning of SB Sunday in 2007, I heard Archie in a radio interview talking crap about Fran Tarkenton's selection into the NFL HOF. That and the fact that he was laughing it up in a book about P6's sexual assault on a female trainer at Tennessee, says all I need to know about that "class" act. I already knew that he sucked as a QB though.

Archie was great in college and he was battered in the pros. He threw a lot of INT's...I think he hit 20 twice in his career. He was a lot like a pre-Favre with a worse record in his career.

Johnny Manziel, Rex Grossman, Matt Leinart and Tim Tebow were also great in college. Just sayin'.

I'm not sure if I will get buried for this, but can we stop laughing at other's misery. I'm no fan of Pey pey, but leave the man alone. No one knows what holds for any team in this violent game. One day you are healthy and another day you could be injured.

Archie is afraid of watching the Pats game on the big screen.

I like this one best ...
One would think Archie is an expert in getting his ass kicked.
