OT: We broke the Seahawks' spirit

Seahawks fans still think Lynch would have ran it in for a TD if they gave him the ball. Earth to delusional Seahawks fans, Patriots D stuffed Lynch on a 3rd and short earlier in the game when the pats loaded the box.

What did the Giants do to the Patriots?

In 08 Brady gets hurt, their CB1 walks and the defense gets older and still go 11-5.

In 2012 they go 12-4 and lose Gronk and Talib for the AFCCG.

SEA really messed up by screwing with their o-line and have been bleeding talent at DL, OL and WR for a couple of years now. Getting Jimmy Graham was a mismatch and now sit at 4-5.

The Graham trade, combined with how he's now being used, mystifies me. He's the opposite of a 'Seahawk type' player, and they're trying to make him into a block first TE.

Loser talk right there. Losing their swag? Is that something like Austin Powers losing his mojo?

Seahawks defense lost the fear and stigma? They lost that all by themselves by not performing on the field these last 9 games and trading away their all pro center for a TE that doesn't fit what they do.

Is " Graham is a better te than Gronken" still a thing? It seems ludicrous to me. Like no question, gronk is better

Sucks about the Seahawks I've grown fond of them they weren't sore losers when they lost and all of them when asked questions about the Patriots, have given us props. Bennett, Sherman, Baldwin, Thomas they've all given us props for the game and also supported Tom over Defamegate I don't get the Seahawks hate around here.

If the question was specific to who the better receiving TE was, there was a valid argument to be had- especially with Gronk's injuries.

If the question was specific to who the better all-around TE was, the argument was over in 4 seconds.

Even Collinsworth questioned why they bring in a TE who doesn't have a history of being in an offense that requires occasional improvisation and strong run-blocking

It's nice that some still think that Lynch just walks that play in even though last year's stats suggested it was anything but a gimme. They were going to have to pass one time to insure 3 plays with one time out and that was likely the correct down and package to do it with.

That call should have been a corner fade. Not a slant.

I hate the corner fade. I swear it has the lowest completion percentage of any short pass in football.

There is one other bird team whose spirit the Patriots broke last year - the 2 and 7 Ravens.

The Seahawks had the size at WR to at least make it a pass worth calling. The quick slant against the toughest CB to get a free release from in pro football was the bad part about that call.

The pass wasn't called for Brandon Browner's man. And although Browner's jam on Kearse was instrumental in preventing the rub, Butler's interception only happened because he knew the play was coming and he executed his assignment to perfection.

In all fairness, all their game were close games expect the 49'rs. They are not the hawks of the last year but they still have a shot at a wild card spot.

I agree.... and how do you take a receiver away from a quarterback of Brees' caliber and expect him to have a huge impact on your team?

Do they remember a guy named deion branch?

I don't know why the misery on the Hawks message board makes me smile so much, but oh how I love it. The pass was the right call, lynch had been stoned 5 or 6 times that year on short yardage situations and their was like a 1% or less chance of getting picked on that play.

That team was built on hitting hard and running the ball down your throat. They go out and sign a finesse tight end for big dollars...makes no sense in line with the identity of the team.

They also stole the soul of certain horses

The funny thing is they should be 3-6 right now if the refs didn't give them a cheap win against the Lions where if the rules were called correctly, the Seahawks would have lost.
They also received a gift call against the Cowboys (I do not remember the specific play) and only won 13-12
