NFL says officials erred, Jaguars’ winning FG should’ve never happened

NFL Spokesman Michael Signora said that officials erred in allowing the play to go on despite all 11 Jaguars not being set. Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles was taken down by Elvis Dumervil of the Ravens on that play but was taken down by his facemask, resulting in a 15-yard penalty and an untimed down.

This makes the Jags' victory even sweeter for me.

I can't imagine what Ravens' fans must be feeling right now. Why I bet it's almost like watching scab refs botch a FG call at the end of the game in a hostile stadium.

Ravens are a turd in the bowl and the water started swirling several losses ago. And it couldn't happen to a better bunch of fellows, unless it were the Colts.

I love how with these teams, when the Patriots lose - it's Karma

When the Patriots win and the Haters lose - they've suddenly never heard of the concept of Karma

Now, maybe the Patriots did something really bad to have only gone to 6 Super Bowls in the Belichick/Brady Era - winning only 4... but I can deal with that type of "bad karma" just fine

I guess we gotta ask what type of evil things teams like the Jets and Ravens did to actually earn this supposed bad karma

Yeah, Kon, I watched the end of the game on the Red Zone and they went right to another game as soon as the FG went through. I desperately wanted to see his head explode. It must have been beautiful...

what gets me is how the press is suddenly silent about how great a GM Ozzie Newsome has been. Now that they are getting creamed, instead of questioning the great Newsome's depth it's all about Suggs and Smith getting hurt what a shame that is! Kiss my bass!!! they still have their SB winning QB they sunk a $100M into and last year's star RB so there's no way they should be this bad. The problem is they built a spotty defense through iffy personnel moves and are now paying for it - again.

ozzie's overrated. wow he drafted ray lewis and ogden...in the first round!!!!
BB is the greatest coach/gm in the history of the league.

congrats jags!! after they choked against indy, they deserved this victory..
