Clearly something was wrong last night more than just his usual arm problems.

Sad to see this, he is truly one of the QB greats. Glad to see he had that nice game against Green Bay, to remind us of what he used to be like. Always used to hate going against that guy in his prime....

Wonder if the injury is from all the "scrambling" he's had to do under the new system.

Not to be argumentative :D, but I wouldn't call 340/0/1 a great game.

This could be the actual end of his career right here. We may have seen his last game yesterday.

I believe it. Manning, at this point, needs everything to be right in order to get anything on his throws. Last two weeks, he's regressed badly, and he didn't have much left to start with.

I don't think it's an "excuse," just the end of a pretty amazing career.

I hate to be the contrarian. But i wonder if this is the excuse they will use to bench him.

I certainly hope not because i want a beatdown in denver in 2 weeks. But osweiler doesnt scare me much either

@RapSheet: During the loss to the Chiefs, Peyton Manning did suffer additional small tearing, as @AdamSchefter said, aggravation of the previous injury

Looking like we're facing Brock?

Yeah, but I meant the way he controlled the offense, the pacing, his calls at the line, the 'Omaha'. You are right though the numbers weren't great. It will be sad to see him gone.

I don't like him but he's a great regular season qb. I don't know what kubiak will do. Tough spot

Would prefer Manning. There is not enough tape on Osweiler available which will make gameplanning a challenge. Also, all in all, he seems better suited to run Kubiak's offense than the corpse of Manning. Too bad..

Indeed. It would be said if we didn't have one more of the great Brady vs. Manning marquee matches. There were some great battles over the years.

I have to say I haven't taken too much enjoyment out of watching Peyton crumble. I like the fact that it helped result in two losses for the Donkeys but other than that it is kind of a sad way for him to go out.

I hope it doesn't end that way for Brady. Hopefully he walks out the door with another ring on his finger...

I think that he is injured, and that it's part of him sucking. But the problem is that his age the injuries will keep comming, and they will take much longer to heal. So you can rest him all you want, but he still won't be a 100% healthy again in the NFL. There will always be an injury nagging him, and with his physical state right now he needs to be at 100% to make good throws. And as a I said, I think that the injury is only part of him sucking. The biggest part is him just playing horribly. Making awful decisions and throws.

I'm looking at the Manning "highlights" from yesterday and he showed absolutely no difficulty with his feet, but they can continue to pretend that's the problem. The problem is that his arm is toast and it is not going to get better. Hopefully we will see him in a couple of weeks.
