NFL will stop game for Manning record

I don't know. His throws look a lot like big, looping Bruce Hurst overhand curves.
....who was pretty effective for the Sox when he was here.

The Spaceman lob to Tony Perez was another issue....

Manning cares a whole lot about stats. I wonder what BB truly thinks of him. Years ago, he was a feared opponent. Now, his true colours show.

With his effort today, I believe his season QBR is sub-70.

As stated last year, "[Tom] Brady said he was going to play until he ... sucked. That's a pretty good line. I'm kind of the same feel. I don't have a set number. ... Yeah, right until you suck -- I think that's a pretty good rule right there."

Time to go.

If you cruise a Broncos forum, they seem all but unanimous in wanting Oz to start from here on out.

No. F***in'. Way.

This is absolutely PERFECT. Whenever he thinks of breaking the record, he'll have to also remember how he played one of the worst (the worst?) game of his career and got benched. If he was going to break the record, that is by far, BY FAR, the best possible way it could have gone down.
Heh, fair enough. I guess it's a deeply unpopular opinion on this board, but I don't hate Manning. I don't begrudge him his empty statistical records now that the Brady-Manning debate is over.

Plus, the main reason I don't want Manning benched is that I would feel more comfortable facing the Broncos with him as a starter. :D Broncos will probably be better without him at this point.

Peyton was 1-14, 17 yds, 4 INT's on throws more than 5 yards downfield, the worst completion % on such throws for any QB in last 10 years

Note: for some reason the tweet I link to for this post isn't showing. Credit to @HisDirknesS for the info.

He should start thinking about retiring now. He has a few of the good records. At this point, he should be worried about setting more bad records like this. Yeesh.

Well at least they didn't do fireworks and confetti and all that BS. It would've been a nice send-off to retirement though, because that was embarrassing, unless he's trying to own Favre's INT record too.

They sure can't be any worse.

5 completions and 4 INTS. Hope those 5 yards were worth it. I don't hate Manning either, I just like to use him as a punching bag every time the media overhypes him, despite the fact that he continues to suck and "analysts" like Dungy finds every excuse to defend him. They're using the Manning's ankle is injured excuse, but Manning's ankle had nothing to with the amount of suckage he displayed today. If Brady played that bad, it'd make national headline news: "Brady's deflated season."

Ward got ejected for punching a player.. waiting for another suspension for the Broncos defense.

Maybe we'll get to play Osweiller in a couple of weeks. Lol

Cant stand Ward... the guy is so friggin dirty

They really should follow up with a time out where we can be treated to a "best of" Peyton Manning commercials too. It would glorious and complete me.

and yes that was sarcasm, I'm a Patriot fan after all and the world has had plenty of commercials with Peyton.
I think he already holds the record for TV commercials by an NFL player.

Ward pushes the Chiefs player down from behind, jumps on him and punches him in the head. If this took place on the street and the Chiefs players had stolen Ward's wallet or insulted his girl, Ward's actions might make sense. I'm can't really see how they are justified in a football context, though.

I guess it really is Cable Manning out there.
