Edelman: Broken Foot, Likely Back for Playoffs

Let's not forget that Edelman is one tough SOB in terms of recovery time.

Good news is he can still return depending on how he heals.

Dez came back. And other than denver i don't think our schedule is too tough.

This is unfortunate news....

Looking on the bright side, I do hope Chris Harper is called up. He looked like a real Keenan Allen-type spark plug during pre-season.

Seems to be doing well on the Pratice Squad too. Hope he gets his shot.

Well if anyone can recover from something like this, where there is a possibility of return, it's Jules.

After seeing that E:60 I have no doubt he'll work his butt off (or rather rest it) to get back out there to catch passes from "his guy".

He's one tough SOB.

Hope BB is willing to wait, he isn't always the most patient guy with injuries (like Develin would probably be back right now) but you gotta think he'll have faith Edelman will be back.

Is there anyway he can come back the final week before the playoffs? He could be rusty even if he comes back

I do. And there's no doubt in my mind he will.
Plus broken bones generally don't take away from a players athletic ability like PCL or microfractures do. Ones healed, there is no reason to believe JE won't be back to the same level.

He didn't wait for darryl roberts and that was kind of a mistake

He has 9 weeks before the Pat's first playoff game, in the immortal words of Arnold, He'll be back!

Exactly. It's usually preferable to a sprain or tear.

We saw Roberts play one game. That was a lot more reasonable. Bodden got hurt in 2010 and could have returned but that ended up being the right decision because he was garbage when he returned in 2011.

Honestly Jules is done for the year. Gotta move on. It'll take some adjusting but with everyone's binky in Martin, amendola and Dobson we can manage.

we will miss him a lot against denver and philly. other than that we can win the rest of the games without him.

Eh. My husband is an Eagles fan, so I've ended up suffering through all of their games this season. They are terrible. I wouldn't worry about that one.

So all the doctors and analysts are wrong that he can return?
