Edelman: Broken Foot, Likely Back for Playoffs

Broken foot, IIRC.

Sit him a few weeks if necessary, man we need to get Dobson involved in the offense, Gronkowski, Edelman and Amendola playing full 16 games season in a row is a high stake bet

On the play, the tackler came straight down on the back of heel while his toes were flexed. I don't know what kind of injury that would lead to, but that's what I saw on the replay.

Although it can be serious, a walking boot isn't necessarily terrible news. Hurns from Jacksonville wore one the first half of the week this week and still played. Fingers crossed for JE.

Hey if Rapistberger can come back one week after a foot injury then Jules can too by God!

But that's Ben's entire way of life. Stuff breaks and falls off so they tape it back on and send him back in. The fact that they can do that with him is half the reason he is good

lol there is literally 0 chance it was an Achilles. Stop with that nonsense
I just threw it out there because I had a sinilar situation happen to me. I had a guy come down on my left leg while it was planted behind me, right above my heel. There was a pop followed by an excruciating burn, and I immediately knew something was wrong. Limped my ass to the car, drove to the hospital. Broken bone and a sprained achilles. So, it is possible. Not saying that was what happened to Jules, just guessing like everyone else.

Amendola can do a good on-field impression of Edelman. No one in the league right now can do a good on-field impression of GRONK.

Not doubting the radness that is Gronk. Jules however is the primary chain mover in the passing game and is IMHO more crucial in the end. Having Gronk is just sweet, sweet gravy.

Randy Moss on speed-dial... :p

the way he planted and didnt twist the ankle, I am suspecting a broken metatarsal similar to Dez Bryant's injury. I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. :p

The New England Patriots moved to 9-0 on the season thanks to Stephen Gostkowski's game-winning 54-yard field goal. However, the win comes with a bit of bad news.

Julian Edelman left in the first quarter with a foot injury and was unable to return, and his status going forward is up in the air. After the game, Edelman was reportedly seen on crutches with a boot on his left foot, signifying that the injury could be fairly serious.

I am going to hope for the best, but the initial reports are not really promising. We have seen players return from what people thought were pretty significant foot injuries pretty quickly this year, but Edelman isn't Roethlisberger and needs to make cuts and sprint pretty quickly.

Broken foot, IIRC.

If it were really broken, don't think he would have been able to put weight on it. As it was, he was able to walk off under his own power, so most likely a sprain. Just hope it's not a high ankle sprain.

What was Lafell's injury? He had a boot and missed the first 5 games. Probably apples and oranges between injuries but since everyone is speculating...

Hopefully the reason for the cart is the long walking distance from the locker room to the bus...

@BenVolin "Julian Edelman was carted to the team bus. He had crutches and a walking boot."

Let's just hope for the best with long term in mind...

Do we need him to get to 16-0? Yes, probably. Do we need him to get a first round bye? I don't think we do. No offense to Jules, but a nice 6-8 week break would be good news.
