Prisco used to hate on the pats 11 years ago in 2004" but he has matured and moved on. He is now a big patriots supporter and fan, and has been writing great articles for years now.

Shocking to read an article with substance from Prisco. I gave up on him years ago. I bet he's got someone ghost writing under his By line.

yes, very good. and his point about the age of the unit is encouraging. Collins is 26, Jones and Hightower and Butler are all 25. They should all have some of their best years in front of them.

Not that I disagree with you but there are a great many ******ed fans of opposing teams out there!

It seems like the greatest disagreements about the Pats' D are about the CBs. Almost everybody at this point has favorable views of the safeties, LBs, edge rushers, fatties and scheme, with somewhat differing enthusiasm or reserve as the case may be.

But the views of the CBs run the gamut from very favorable to the opposite.

Let's be real, here. Everyone knows that the difference between a lousy D and the Greatest D Since The '85 Bears is .5 ppg allowed.

This article shines some light on why there are 27 safeties on the active roster each week.

An outstanding article. One interesting aside, Prisco was one of the few to really recognise Jamie Collin's potential pre draft and mocked him to us as a first round pick in his final mock.

The stats don't lie - they are ranked very high in a a lot of meaningful categories. (Ranked 3rd against the rush, 5th in total points and points per game, 8th in yards). When you look at the numbers, you gotta give this D the respect they deserve.

Maybe its just having seen so many of our secondaries shredded by mediocre QB's over the years, but I'm still concerned about the lack of depth at corner. I worry that the D still runs the risk of being exposed in that area.

This was a Pats Pulpitesque quality read.

That Chandler Jones sack on a double team was sick. People need to hang their heads in shame when they judge players based on a season with a serious injury.
