Bold prediction: Giants contain Brady but Pats rush for 200+ on Sunday

Whatever excuse we want to make, they have found ways to beat better Patriots teams the last three games they played the Pats. All three times the Pats were the better team going into the game, yet at the end the Giants came out on top.

Law of averages alone says we thrash their asses this time around. And I'm not even including their 32nd ranked defense vs. our #1 ranked offense in this argument.

did you see what drew brees did to these guys?
not saying brady will throw for 500 yards/7td's....maybe in the 350 range with 3-4 td's.

I'm worried about this game. I still think Blount isn't that good and only gets going when the other side gets tired. I think it's going to be on Brady to get the ball out quickly as usual, and the G-men will be gunning for him. They are a little in his head and rightfully so as they have proven they can and will solve Brady. I just hope his revenge tour attitude trumps his hesitation attitude when playing the Giants. Go Patriots!
We need somebody on the Giants to tick Belichick off. He still has too much affection for that organization.

(Hmmmm....I was writing that sort of as a joke, but now it has a little ring of truth to me.)

Just win the game. I don't care how they do it. Rodney said they should win. If they lose then it's all a big mental block. Pats need to come out and take it to the giants

2007 and 2011 Giants were completely different teams. They had formidable pass rushers such as Strahan, Tuck, Umenyiora, and JPP.

now, all that is left of that unit is a 3 cripple-fingered JPP with a boxing glove on, backed by the 32nd ranked defense.

That 2011 team also had Linval Joseph and Chris Canty inside. Giants just lost their best DT and have a FB seeing snaps at the position.

Their LBs and S in '11 were Boley, Kiwanuka, Blackburn, Rolle and Phillips. Sunday if the injury report is anything to go by they will be Kennard (R), Brinkley, Casillas (Yes Jonathan Casillas), Collins (R) and Merriweather.

I'd give the edge to the '11 LBs and S by a decent margin.

And Amukamara might not play Sunday.

What's Vollmer's status? If he's out I hope we try to run a bit. No matter how bad the defense ranks im a little worried about Brady dropping back 50 times... Especially if canons still not back either

The Giants run defense is not very good, and that was even before their best run stuffer was lost for the season. We know this team likes to target the other team's weaknesses instead of playing "by the book". I bet that is exactly what they try to do and they'll have success doing it.

Will be fun to watch them try to rush Brady as Blount runs right over them or by them. I think he's due for a big game.

Depending how the OTs hold up and IF the NYG are getting to TB12 they may need to run the ball more.

He didn't practice yesterday. Not looking good.

I think Vollmer is at that spot where if he pops up as limited in practice today or isn't ruled out today or tomorrow then he passed protocol and will play.

Is their secondary that bad with DRC and Prince?

Two words: Walking. Boot.

In 2011, Gronk played during the regular season against the Giants. The Giants won that game, too.

They have the worst pass rush in the league. Chandler Jones by himself has more sacks than the entire Giants defense.

Wasn't it Brady who was in the walking boot & hiding out at Giselle's in NYC?

That was 2007. Gronk was 2011. Damn lower leg injuries.

But, yeah, last in sacks and having just lost their best run defender and with Prince not 100% if he plays, we should score plenty. However I expect the Giants to score too. I'm looking for something in the 37-23 range.

That was 2007. Brady was dinged up in 2011, but it was his shoulder.

They won it without Nicks too.

I don't like it when our opponents make excuses and I don't like it when we make excuses.

We had a chance to put that game away and Welker didn't make a (tough) catch that he could have made. Then, we still had a chance to stop them but let Eli complete the pass of his career to Manningham.

But, if we're into making excuses, instead of "Two words," it might be Gisele's "14 words": "My husband cannot ****ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time." Personally, I don't like either and would prefer to just leave it at "They won. We lost."

@Oswlek is referring to SB42 when TB12 had the mobility of a tree.

Both. Brady in 2007 and Gronk in 2011.

I personally find the "no excuses" rhetoric to be a load of horseshit. Pointing out that guys having perhaps the greatest season at their respective seasons both ended up injuring their ankles prior to the SB is important context, not excuse making. I also submit this:
