Marcus Cannon's injury is bodering on ridiculous you think he would be ready by now. Vollmer is probably a scratch now not good going up against Pierre Paul. This Game my be closer than we would like depending on our Tackle situation.

Latest on Collins' Practice Status
Thursday, Nov. 12
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Collins did not practice today, and is very weak, since he hasn't been able to eat all week.

Crikey! Collins should go on Naked and Afraid with that diet.
BB should catch this for his own good. Approaching Wilfork territory this year.

He could have broken his big toe.

What's been ridiculous this year is it seems like the minorest injuries end up being much worse and keep players out for a long time. While the injuries that seem very bad initially only end up being minor.

So to all the pundits here... looks like it's not MRSA after all.... probably same thing Hasselback caught a few weeks ago.

I think we can manage without him this week. We will absolutely need him against Denver.

Per Reiss:
With DT Robert Thomas (Arkansas) at practice, and all 10 practice squad players accounted for, Patriots move on 53-man roster is imminent.

They activate Fletcher now Collins is down

After reading those tweets I'm sticking with my initial guess of norovirus.

That sucks if he isn't eating. Muscle mass starts to disappear quick.

What about that "Boost" stuff, a lot of protein in that?

They activate Fletcher now Collins is down - Only makes sense

If all 10 other practice squaders are there it is more likely that one of the OL was promoted.

I find it hard to believe, in Collins' case, that a 26 year old athlete in peak physical condition, with access to team nutritionists, doctors, and wellness staff would be out with a "flu" for more than a few days. I'm guessing this is more than run of the mill "flu".

I don't find it hard to believe at all.

I missed the part where Collins was important in our efforts last week.

Our primary linebackers are Freeney and Hightower. We also have Mayo and Bostic. Our need for another linebacker in vastly over-rated, especially since our average number of linebackers on the field is under 2.5.

Fletcher might be activated. that is another issue. I prefer him to McDonald as a special teamer.

Last week Mayo played just a couple snaps at the end of the game. Freeney took Collins role.

That doesn't not bode well for Mayo being able to contribute much of anything.

I dont disagree with you, but my point was more they dont need to use the spot on another RB or something, so why not just use it on a LB now another is down.. Unless you beleave they should use it on a OL, would make sense also ;)

Jamie Collins???

Listen I live in NYC, and have heard nothing on Collins, and even trying to read up on it, I am finding nothing. This is clearly more than an illness, any rumors on what he has. What are you people hearing regarding the real issue. I am thinking staff infection. To me he is our third most indispensable player after Brady and Gronk, I hope he is back soon, but my doom meter is starting to move up.

re: Jamie Collins???

He's going to lose his index finger, his big toe, one of his balls, and all his hair.

re: Jamie Collins???

I heard he's secretly out doing some kind of superhero stuff. Something called the "Avengers Initiative." Idk.
