Rex Ryan: I'm circling Patriots game, not Jets game


"I promise that I will give you an honest answer [about playing the Jets] after the game [Thursday]," Ryan said. "Because right now I haven't thought about it. What I'm telling you is the truth. We're just trying to prepare for a game on a short week. Would it had been different if it was a longer [week]? Maybe.

"But at no point was I like, 'Oh, I have this one circled.' Everybody knows me, I circle the Patriots. That's what I do."

The Bills will travel to Gillette Stadium later this month for their first Monday Night Football appearance since 2009 -- when they opened their season with a loss to the Patriots.

"Oh baby, that one's gonna be tough," Ryan said Monday. "The quarterback [Tom Brady] never gets worse. What's wrong with him? That quarterback never gets worse. Like what is wrong with him. You know what I mean? When you get older, you’re supposed to get worse. This dude's getting better."

Way to go Rexy. Got a game in 2 days but already worrying about a game after this one.

Rexy is the gift that keeps on giving all year long.

Rex is going to start literally stalking Belichick and Brady at some point.

The funny thing about that mentality is it'll lose him the Jets game... and then he'll still lose to the Pats because he sucks and his team kinda sucks too.

The man needs a bit of perspective. If he wants to beat Bill he needs to become Bill.

Rex, repeat after me: One game at a time, One game at a time, One game at a time, feet are made for walking.

The only reason the Bills have even a slight chance of not getting their ***e$ kicked is if Geno Smith starts for the Jests.

Gotta love Rex for his entertainment value but he sounds like a man with an unhealthy obsession. It's still entertaining though - more like Bill Murrays character in caddyshack hunting the gopher than anything else.

How do we know that isn't a Cleveland Brown's helmet and he is paying respects to Bill Belichick yet gain?

Rex has got his team looking past the Jets and getting a head start on being over-wound again for the Pats.
