We're on to the Giants

defensively, they suck. offensively, they can put up points.

They haven't played a defense in anywhere near the class of the Patriots yet. Not even close.

People so snakebitten by the Giants....Yes, they beat us in the Super Bowl twice, both crushing losses, but they both were by a total of 7 points....It's not like they destroyed us.

In 2007, they were tough no doubt. In 2011 they arguably had a better team, they just under achieved in a tougher NFC. But this year it's not even close.

They just lost their best DT, got one of the worst secondaries in the NFL and their O-Line is mediocre at best.

This game will be a blowout.

I'm nervous about this one. The Patriots just lost Dion Lewis and are looking at an offensive line of one rookie center lined up with four guards. No tackles changes the equation dramatically. If you can't protect the edge, the QB is at greater risk on every passing play, and when you run, you're forced to run inside.

Jason Pierre-Paul had a good outing against the Bucs and a mobile QB. The Gianst will get better as he rounds into shape and they can speed up their pass rush. The other DE is Robert Ayers or Cullen Jenkins. Jenkins doesn't have a lot in the tank, but Ayers is outstanding.

The secondary of the Giants looks awful, but it all fits together. Brees picked Rodgers-Chromartie and Amakamura apart in that flag football game in New Orleans, but a better pass rush this week against the Patriots makeshift line will help those guys.

Playing without starting tackles and using guards outside begs for increased reliance on the running game. That is hugely diminished without Lewis. Blount will be forced inside, although I expect the Patriots will test Pierre-Paul by pulling and running right at him to wear him down and take advantage of his inability to grasp the runner.

We saw our first three TE formation against the Redskins for blocking purposes to place some big bodies outside the interior line. The more that TEs have to stay in to block, the more guys the other team can load into the box, and send at the pocket. It's simple math.

Finally, the Patriots managed "only" 27 points at home, and now they go on the road against a team that is getting its pass rush organized, and is a top three scoring offense.

The Giants are 3rd in the NFL in points per game at 27.5, the best of any team the Patriots have seen so far. Eli's having a good season with only six picks in 340 throws. Eli is 29th in sacks with 12 (Brady's been sacked 18 times.) He's getting good protection and has terrific receivers to throw to, especially OBJ. Beckham is going to test Butler more than anybody he's faced so far. Even when he's covered he makes the catch. Ruben Randle is having a good season.

The Giants are overlooked because they play in a crappy division and have been so inconsistent as they aways are in the first half of the season. They're a step up from the Redskins and definitely not a gimme on the road.

Drew brees dropped 7tds on them....brady should be fine

i really honestly believe there will be another pats-giants SB. and we will get our revenge. it will be the most satisfying victory ever as a pats fan.

Mike Evans could've had 300 yards recieving if he could catch

I am less concerned with the Giants than I am with an emotionless, WTF game.

Every NFL team - even the Patriots - has at least one every season.

The Patriots are coming off a tough stretch: at Dallas, at Indy (revenge!), two division games, and then last week's game that they lost Dion Lewis. After this game is Rex and then Peyton.

I understand that Belichick is the master of getting his players to focus on strictly the next game, but even the Pats are susceptible to a letdown or a bad game at some point. Last year it was KC, 2013 at Miami, 2012 vs Arizona, 2011 vs Bills, 2010 vs Cleveland, etc.

If it's bound to happen, I'm ok with it taking place against an out-of-conference team.

I don't think this year's Giants have the horses to beat Carolina/Arizona/Green Bay.

How about waiting for injury/practice reports before assuming what the OL will be

That mobile qb he looked good against is also a rookie who doesnt get it out as quicky as Brady does.

Ayers is outstanding? Guy has 1 sack

Blounts been more of a factor in the run game than Lewis this year.

Giants just lost their best DT

Beckham is Butler's biggest test? Debatable. He went against Antonio Brown week 1.

Brees always tears up NY in the dome. It's a match up thing. He would have done the same thing in 2011 if they had gotten past SF.

The only reason to be afraid of the Giants is because they are the Giants. On paper, they are no better than any other team NE has been dispatching, but emotional scars run deep.

Brown is substantially better than Beckham. Substantially.

The Patriots have dispatched similarly talented teams to the Giants this year with consummate ease. I'm expecting them to hammer the Giants. If you look at the numbers, the Pats have a young, athletic and SB caliber D. Coupled with by far, the best O in the league, this should not be close.

Brady has a healthy Gronk. That alone should be enough for the punters.

Still waiting on that Madden Curse to take effect, by the way.

they can beat green bay.

for whatever reason, eli plays well against good QBs. i expect him to have a good game against us.

The last time any of "those guys" played the Patriots in a meaningful game was 4 years ago.

How many of "those guys" are still on that team?

Brady is just merchandising this game.

And the "we've" must be referring to just Bill and Tom

The 2015 Giants must be one of the few teams in history to put up 49 points in a game and still LOSE (Giants vs. Saints).

Substantially, you say? It's arguable that Brown is even better than Beckham, let alone substantially.

Forget about being in anyone's head or ghosts or whatever- the Pats are the better football team and I expect the result to accurately reflect that fact on Sunday.

There is no reason why we shouldn't move up and down the field against the Giants D, even with our banged up O-line. They are probably the worst Defense we will see all year, other than maybe the Jags.
It should be a nice test for our secondary though. If given time, Eli can definitely move the ball, but is prone to throwing the int. If we don't turn the ball over, there is no reason we shouldn't win this game by 10+ points.
