Its probably his wife pushing him because she wants a new Mercedes or something.

Interesting take...apparently his wife is a piece of work...so says some folks here in Denver, not sure that means anything. But it was a rumor around here that him coming to Denver had a lot to do with her wanting to live here and she didn't like the NE area. Could be total bs also.

I'm still surprised how much better Edelman ended up being. I don't have any negative feelings about Welker either. He produced a lot. One missed catch won't define his career. He's just playing for a paycheck now though. He can forget about a championship.

The way the Rams play, he might get his career-ending concussion in his first week of practice.

Ironic that he and Amendola just basically switched teams.

The rams might actually have a chance at a wc berth before they move back to LA, maybe Welker can help them with that but I doubt last year was a fluke. I wonder what the Vegas odds are for the rams making the playoffs

Again thanks for the memories but he's not missed. Edelman is better at every aspect of football than Welker was/is. It's a fact.

Sorry to have to bring this up and i know in life that nothing is ever given but i can say with almost certainty that Edelman makes the CATCH that Wes couldn't. So would Amendola.....
It's not a fact at all that Edelman is better than Welker was. It's your personal opinion. The fact is that they have different roles and positions. I think that Welker was the best slot receiver that this game has ever seen

I'm not so sure that Edelman catches that ball. Edelman have good not great hands(like Welker), and it wasn't a very good throw and it was hard to catch. Agree on Amendola though. He's got the best hands on the team, and can probably haul that in

I think by us not resigning welker enabled us to win the Super Bowl because it's likely we would not have amendola and/or Edelman if we kept him.

If we'd re-signed Welker we'd almost certainly not have Amendola, since signing him was a direct response to Welker getting an offer and flying to Denver and saying he was going to sign there, etc. As an extension of that, I don't think keeping Welker would've had much impact on Edelman. He wouldn't have had as much opportunity to establish himself in 2013 as he did after Amendola got hurt, but I think he would've established a significant role either way, and I bet his offseason contract negotiation before 2014 would have gone a similar way.
