Nantz and Simms are doing the game.

Thought they might have decided to fluff Manning for another week and do the Chefs/Donkeys game.

Funny considering everyone outside of NE fans think they do nothing but fluff the Patriots and Kraft. Can't stand them though, not because of their hypothetical rooting interests, but because they suck.

There was a time when they did like the Pats, but that changed years ago.

Pats/NYG is the national game. And with the Thursday Night games being done by them, they only do the CBS late National Game now. So expect those 2 on any national 4:25 game the Pats will be on.

During the Broncos game, I remember them cooing "look at that, perfect pass" as the ball lands 2 yards short of the receiver. They have such an amazing mancrush on Manning, it's laughable.

Just looked ahead barring any flexed games to 4:25 this looks like it will be the last game with those two the Pats have till playoffs.

Can't wait. My first away Patriots game I'll be attending with a Giants fan, a JEST fan, and another fellow Pats fan. Should be ... interesting. :D

Nantz and Simms are brutal now. They put minimal effort into their prep for games.

They really are Summerall/Madden 2002.

Just mailing it in....

I might even prefer Criqui/Cross/Glanville with Steve Burton on the sideline over those guys. Did I just say that?

Damn, we were spoiled this past week listening to John Lynch. The man knows football and actually has things of substance to speak about, relevant anecdotes, personal experience with the people on the field, and observations worth hearing over the course of the game. I wish he could call all of our games.

Meanwhile, I wish Simms would spontaneously forget how to talk.

That story he told about how he went to Belichick before the 4th preseason game in 2008 and told him he was done but had one request that he wanted to the play the whole fourth game was really cool to me.

Yeah, it really was. I remember that game, here on this forum in the game thread we were all trying to figure out what it meant, and thinking that Belichick must be getting him ready to play a variety of roles as a featured element in our defense.

As it turns out... nope. Just giving him his wish and making sure he logged a lot of time on the field in his last opportunity.

Drink every time they talk about ballghazi

Simms offers no insight football wise. He cant breakdown plays other than talk nonsnese. People can hate collinsworth for all his rants and opinions but he can breakdown a play more accurately than most.
For me the best CBS crew is harlan and gannon. Gannon breaks down plays very well and calls out teams and players doing stupid things. He absolutely killed baltmore during their SF game for a lackadaisical approach during the last 2 mins of the game.
