Talib - dirty play of the year!

Well, I was surprised by Collinsworth's rant regarding Hardy during half-time. He said the NFLPA needs to step up and take a hard stand on things like Domestic Violence and just say we don't want it. If you do it, you're done in the NFL.

Collinsworth is an idiot/shill for the league.

Sure, it's all the NFLPA's fault for doing what is required in their charter to do.

Never mentioned Jerry Jones, did he??

I don't mean to defend Collinsworth too much here - but it really did seem like there were a lot of things he and Michaels were told not to say by the league/network.

Just my sense, could be wrong.

I didn't like Talib when he was here and nothing has changed. He looks like a rat and plays like one.

Also, I was shocked the NFL allowed them to mention anything about Hardy during the pre game. It wa so obvious Al Michaels was reading a prepared statement about it though.
Given the Michaels/Collinsworth discussion of Defamegate during the Super Bowl, I was surprised they didn't bring it up when mentioning Hardy. Something like: "Al. Yes, Chris. Did you see the photos of those deflated footballs?"

Nobody pisses off defensive backs more than Julian Edelman. They all seriously hate him.

Gee, I wonder why ...

Seriously, though, the Donkeys are run by John Elway. Not exactly a paragon of virtue in his playing career. That goes for Ravens retread Goober Pyle Kubiak as well.

Probably just cost the Broncos a chance to tie/win this game.

Goes up to Colts player and pokes his fingers into his eye!
I think he or one of the other Broncos had been poked in the eye, and he lost it. Boneheaded. But if you want to talk about a dirty punk, try TJ Ward. His entire reason for being on the field seems to be to try and injure people.

Doesn't even necessarily have to be told to them not to say it. There can be silent/unwritten rules that if you go against 'us', one way or another you will slowly become persona non grata.
No doubt in my mind that very big media outlets are not told, per se, to avoid anti-NFL in comments. These outlets may simply understand to do so means the relationship with the NFL could become dicey. And since the NFL defines 'TV audience & demo supreme' more than anything else whatsoever (and it ain't even close, not by a country mile), what media outlet that relies on the huge numbers of the NFL will risk as cordial as possible relationship with scumbag Goodell and his scum lackeys?
That huge power of the NFL can change/control the media message. If Greg hardy was on the Patriots the media would castigate the Patriots because, in part, they know the NFL's view of the Patriots. But if the fault falls on the NFL itself there will be little to no castigation.
It just is what it is...

The Broncos are lucky they are facing the Chiefs next week because odds are good that they will be doing it without Talib.
Chiefs have good defense, and good run game, so that wont be easy for defence that is better than RAvens 2000 an Bears85

So to recap, Von Miller kneed a Colts player in the throat while the player was on the ground, and when another Colts player said something to Miller about it Talib poked that player in the eye

And an hour later Jerry Jones was happily cheering for Greg Hardy

But remember, The Patriots are the most hated football team in America because the ideal gas law caused .2 PSIs to leak from footballs

I know it's just words and you're typing quickly but no psi "leaks" from the ball. The gas molecules slow down and exert less pressure. When the ball warms up the gas molecules are moving faster again and the ball attains its prior pressure.
THANK YOU! That's become one of my biggest pet peeves since defamegate started.

Against Steve Smith, we saw that Talib is unable to control his anger.

Not surprised to see him do this. I wouldn't call this the worst thing that's happened in the NFL during the past year -- intentionally stomping on a qb's hand is probably worse, and taking a guy's helmet off and shoving his head into the ground is definitely worse -- both of which got no suspension.

I don't think the Colt's player had any real risk of becoming blind as Talib had a glove, so that lessened the impact.

That said, I don't think this kind of move should be tolerated at all and if I were an #integrity commissioner I would suspend him for 4 games -- and I would've suspended the head smasher / pacman jones for the season -- and suh for 2 game for the hand stomping because that one had plausible 'accident' excuse.

I'm guessing Talib gets nothing though other than a small fine -- especially since Talib can now argue "this wasn't as bad as trying to smash a guy's skull in" (interestingly both Talib and Pacman have no remorse for their behavior)

Yeah Talib is Dirty but not as Dirty as T.J. Ward I hope he goes down with a season ending injury before we play them. Ward goes after opponents Ankles and Knees I fear him taking shots at Gronk and Edelman...I hate Ward with a passion.

I'd be shocked if there are suspensions. It's the Broncos and they're a Manning team. It's that simple. Plus, it's not the Patriots.
Hes not getting suspended. He'll be fined...

But according to Goody, fines don't modify a player's behavior but suspensions do.

Say what you want, this should be end of that NFL career, but its NFL so 2 days and a small fine...

Unfortunately Wilfork would've been done a few years ago if eye poking was a career-ending infraction.

(Mods, I apologize if linking video is bad)

Disappointing for sure.

If an eye poke results in only a fine....why not walk up to starting QBs every game and.....
