After hearing Sims gush about Peyton and the record, I wonder if the 4 hour cialis rule is in effect
Too bad that rule was in effect when son Chris was conceived...

That's viagra. You can have a boner all weekend with cialis.

What's nice about this particular loss is the potential impact it has on post-season standings.

This win by the Colts gives New England a tie-breaker over Denver and could help determine the 1st-seed, etc.

Wouldn't the seedings be determined first by overall record then second by head to head? I would guess that this tie breaker would only be needed if they didn't play against each other in the regular season or if the game they play ends up in a tie right?

Did Manning steal Welker's helmet?

Of course, it all depends upon New England still winning a bunch more games, but overall, anything that helps drop Denver down in the standings is fine by me. :)

No, it doesn't help with tie-breakers. Whoever wins the DEN vs NE game will have the tie-breaker. The outcome of this game won't matter between the two. No way Bengals, DEN, and NE all tie.

Um yes it has an impact between the to. Denver is now down a game to us, and if we beat them in Denver we would have a 3 game lead. This was a critical loss for Denver so far.

I'm sure he had the offense practicing keep-away with the ball this week. They get another week to perfect the performance.

Awesome. He can have all the REGULAR SEASON records, I'll take all of Brady's playoff/Super Bowl records.

If Manning does indeed retire after this season, either Brady or Brees will break his longevity stats records as well. It always amazes me how people say Manning is the best regular season QB of all-time. Brady is much better than him in every meaningful category...the playoff contrast just makes the matchup a blowout win for Brady.

Peyton Manning: Fantasy GOAT
Tom Brady: NFL GOAT

It was AWFUL. And showing the guy who would pick it up and drive it straight to Canton made me throw up in my mouth. For that alone I'm glad he didn't get it. Too bad Peyton, 3 yards short (sung to the Nationwide jingle)

Yes, it does help with tie breakers. Common opponents. Wrong, yet again, @Interception

The only situation I can think of where common opponents would come into play would be if the Pats/Den game would end in a tie. What others?

The first consideration would be overall record. If that is tied, then the next would be Head to Head right? Then if the head to head game is tied, then common opponents?

If the Pats lose at Denver and the teams end up tied, the Pats would lose the first tie-breaker (head to head).

If the Patriots, Denver and Cincinnati all ended up with the same record, and Cincinnati beat Denver, and the Patriots lost to them, that would go to the common opponent tiebreak. Pittsburgh's another common opponent which is now a wash.

I wonder if Indy was going to do a thing for him had he broken the record. Would have looked pretty silly at the end of the game if they had.

It could also help if the Pats want to rest/protect some players going into the last week of the season.
