Since the odds of scoring a TD, recovering an onside kick, and then scoring a TD in a minute's time is probably like 2% of happening. Yes, I consider it garbage time since you play that game 100 times, the Browns might win once or twice in that situation and I might be overstating it.
And again, whether it is garbage time or not, the Pats got out of their regular defense and played prevent to run down the clock and were less concerned about them scoring than making sure they had no time left to score twice. So it isn't the same defense.
