Collins questionable

Besides Wendy who was hospitalized, I can't ever recall players missing games with the flu/illness They play. That's it.

Pot Roast isn't playing because of a migraine.

I've heard a rumor about an MRSA outbreak in the Pats locker room. It may be unfounded speculation, but it would be a very bad thing if true. It might explain the mystery around Wendell.

When I heard this I was like "Wha...?" That's a new one.

I understand the intensity of them as I used to get them frequently as a kid and they were torture but you just dont expect to hear a Player being out because of one. Guys who routinely throw their bodies with force against each other for hours at a time. But a migraine take them out.

Collins is on the inactive list. He's out. :(

Where'd you here this at?

He must have 'em really bad. When a doozie kicks in, he's likely stuck in a dark room for a couple of days. Feel really bad for him. I've had 'em in the past and it sucks.

It sounded as though they we're talking about it on the Pats pregame radio. I didn't hear the whole thing though. It sounded more like speculation than reported fact.

If you don't think a migraine can take you out I would suggest you've never really had one. Also, Percy Harvin lost several games when he was with the Vikings due to migraines. And LaDainian Tomlinson's infamous dark visor was a preventative measure to avoid migraines being triggered by stadium lighting.

If it's a rumor and you don't have a source for your rumor then are you the person starting the rumor? :p

But really LdT's visor was just so LBs couldn't see his eyes to figure out where he was cutting to. Remember, he's a very classy guy.

I gave the source in a followup.

I'm wondering now if it's based on the Pats specifying that Collins is out with a 'contagious' illness.

Gasper on the pre game show threw out rumors that MRSA has been going around in the locker room...

Praying its not that...

Yes a migraine can take you out of game. Long time person with migraines and I can tell you I am out of work when I get bad migraines. And my work is setting up events in a hotel. I can barely move and have to be in the dark. I can't imagine having to hit someone or have your head banged around for three hours. That would have to be some of the most excruciating pain someone could endure.

No argument there. He certainly didn't leave it at home during day games.

That's what I heard, I just didn't hear what he was basing it off of.

It is cold season... Kids are back to school and daycare and are bringing home all of the special treats. MRSA it is not

Yeah .. that's a player's nightmare .... hope it's not true.

I heard it might be Ebola. Or maybe I just made that up. But as long as we're going to wring our hands and clutch our pearls based on baseless rumors we might as well make the most of it.
