Chris Harris: Broncos Defense has No Weaknesses

Even with a historic defense, Peyton Manning will **** the bed come playoff time...

thing is though denver's gonna try to take the football out of peyton's weak ass arm. they would want to run the ball and just make peyton be their brad johnson. 20-25 attempts with 180 yards 0-1tds and ideally 0 INTs. and if somehow they can do that denver can beat a playoff team in a 17-14 type of game. they probably can't beat us that way, but i can see them beating other playoff teams like that.

and i think peyton sucking actually helps the team in the long run. ideally we want peyton to do exactly what he has done in the past - waltz through regular season and then flame out in the playoffs. i sense they won't make a same mistake.

ultimately, their run will come up short at foxboro, but IMO they are a worthy foe, and we should do whatever it takes to get an home court adv, and don't take them lightly.

I'm telling you again, I don't agree. Denver has been very good, but they are not on Seattle's level just yet. Seattle has played excellent D for 4 odd seasons. Denver for 7 games. It's not comparable, at all.

You are disagreeing with something that I'm not saying then.

Where do I start? Well in reference to the jets defense who gave up 30+ points to the raiders. That defense is beyond overrated. Denver D held that offense to 10 points.
As far as points allowed it should be 94 not 112 due to 18 of those points came from 3 pick 6s manning threw.
Brady has a quick release, but that isn't going to do Brady any good if no one is open.
wade phillips didn't have in Houston what he has in denver. In Houston he had watt and a bunch of scraps.
another thing is,and what needs to be considered is our pass rush is going to force gronk to stay in pass protection a lot more than he's used to. Brady got sacked 5 times against Dallas and all they got is hardy.
we're at 29 sacks so far this season,we only 41 all last season, we'll be well past that by the time of the game, scheme makes a big difference. NE isn't going to be able to dbl team miller or ware.
watch our games, our back ups (our depth) get rotated in regularly to give miller & ware breathers and our D isn't missing a beat with our back ups playing.
miller & ware have a combined 9 sacks this season those other 20 are coming from somewhere.
Miller & ware stats wise aren't having a great yr.

Anyway it'll be a great game.

Since you cite pass rush, then the Pats pass rush and excellent LB corps will hold Denver to 3, a long FG. Pats 6, Donks 3.

Any of you morons who have so much to say about how wrong my opinions are, why don't you PROVE it?

Show me proof that Seahawks 2014 D is better than Denver 2015 D. I'll wait.

My question is even if Denvers defense is better is (Which we cant say whether it is or is not because were halfway through the season.) At this point who the hell cares?

We will see soon enough...

Just ignore all the statistics and go straight to insults? Nice. Come back when you've checked which D actually performed better through 7 games.

Sure, let's go straight to the facts. You claimed the Patriots would not have a top ten defense and they are seventh in scoring defense with the hardest part of their schedule behind them. So either write your mea culpa or shut your piehole.

Troll

I'll take Denver's defense right now over Seattle's defense of last year's SB. Don't forget how banged up they were. Sherman and Thomas were the walking wounded. And Chancellor was injured too as I recall.

Sherman was thrown at once. Earl Thomas had the same injury Hightower had but it didn't stop Hightower from making plays. Also Thomas' injury had no effect on him getting beat in the endzone by Amendola. As for Chancellor, guy was flying around the field and his injury didn't effect him from launching on a headhunting hit on Edelman.

Not to mention that we had at least 3 guys playing injured on offense.

stephen a smith said on espn that " peyton is overrated "..mentioned the 11-13 playoff record. 9 one and done's.

mort's head just exploded lol just went all out trying to defend manning's shortcomings.:D
SAS better be careful, race hustling is allowed on espn. attacking peyton manning? smith might be looking for a new job soon.
trey wingo/louis riddick all jump to manning's defense as well. funny ass ****.

We are at the halfway point and if people can't see that we have a good defense then there is no convincing them. Even though they are wrong they would never admit to it and give our defense the credit it has earned. Its called the goddell effect, whereby all science and logic disproves a belief but you still cling to it because of so called integrity.

The big argument going on in this thread is comparing Denver's defense to Seattle's near historic defensive run. Tangentially they are being loosely compared to Baltimore's historic 2000 defense. If that is what people are getting heated about arguing it's pretty safe to assume that they're pretty f'in good...they're pretty f'in good.

Anyway.. all of them accolades like #1 defense or offense mean nothing if you can't win the game.

They are undefeated.

Glad I was sitting down...agreeing with SAS just caused me to convulse.

Remember all the brouhaha about Seattle have the best defense ever before SB 49....????

Well, Cam Chancellor and Richard Sherman were coming in injured. But I think they were truly undermanned when this happened...

PFT: Chris Harris: Broncos’ defense has no weaknesses

I know the denver game is 3 weeks away, but do you guys think the pats match up well with them? i feel like our quick receivers like edelman and amendola as well as dion lewis would cause the broncos D problems. There is even some talk about Denver being the greatest D since the 2000 Ravens.

Well, the Ravens also had Trent Dilfer...who may have been more able than the current version of Peyton Manning.

No weakness? LOL... last year's ass whooping they got from us says otherwise.

Very true but I see a: people, them, and they. Why?

Its one person and he has been proven wrong. Is there anyone else who dosent think we have a good defense? Actually there are people who are sure we have the best D in the league.
