Just looked on ebay, the only one I could find sold for $2600.00 usd and it's 9.5...!

2000 SP Authentic Tom Brady New England Patriots RC Rookie 577/1250 BGS 9.5

Yeah and there's 301 of those 9.5's and only 12 10.'s. I would never sell it though because to me it's a Mantle, Jordan, Gretzky iconic rookie type card. I'm not much of a sports card collector but i'm a huge Boston sports fan and Brady encompasses everything I believe in and strive to be. He is my generation's Williams, Orr, Bird but on a grander scale. 30 years from now if i'm still alive i'm going to look at that card and say, yup, that was the greatest quarterback that ever lived and I got to see him throughout his entire career.

His father sees this as proof that DeflateGate is a politically motivated “vendetta,” led by a commissioner seeking to shore up his authority and appease jealous rivals incensed by the Patriots’ success. At one point Brady told his father, “You have to understand that this is not about me. It’s all about other people’s agendas.”

Damn, that's a pretty powerful statement. Part of me wishes Brady would make that statement publicly, although I totally understand why he hasn't and most likely won't.

What IS amazing to me is the Sp card is more desireable than the Playoff Ticket RC which is autographed.

And that's his only rookie autographed card. I think they're both right near each other as far as desirability. On one hand SP Authentic attracts more set builders but the playoff contenders has his auto and getting a high grade is very, very tough. From what I read the playoff contender is his better rookie.

I just saw a Tom Brady BGS 10 with all 10 subgrades on the Beckett website that was graded back in 2002. Now that would fetch a pretty penny.

This is another excellent article by Jenkins. She is clearly a fan of Tom's. However although I loved the new anecdotes I learned about our obsessive QB, she STILL didn't "finish the sentence". She still didn't come out and say the words, "Tom is playing like a man who was falsely accused and want to prove his innocence".

She tip toes all around it. It is certainly implied all over the place. But she never actually comes out and says it. BTW - the one sentence I didn't like was the one where she states that his innocence or guilt isn't going to be settle by the court, as if it is still in doubt.

Nothing can be further from the truth. The proof of his innocence has been available for months. Christ, the league can't even prove a crime was committed, let alone whether Brady had a hand in it. Why don't any of this writers have the courage to just come out and say it. Why do they continually leave the issue of his guilt or innocence in question.
I understand your point of view, but in my opinion you're sort of nitpicking here. After all the BS from everyone, everywhere Sally Jenkins has been tremendous in her support of Brady and the Pats. I'll be forever grateful to her for having the nuts to swim against the nation-wide tide of hatred and negativity. She's aces in my book, and without reservation.

Very nice read. Props to Sally. Many new tidbits on Tom that were new to us.

I've always been one to worship Bill's mantra and creation here in NE in TEAM.

But this one gave me a Tomgasim. None of us alive will ever see a better one.

Oh, unrelated but important to me...my son informed me yesterday he was given free tics for tomorrow from a client...............so I'll be there :D

Just a little something I made from a quote in Sally's article:

C'mon, Sally was defending Brady right from the get-go before it was cool. At least your first two sentences acknowledge such, but really what more do you want HER to do?

There are scores of writers to complain about vis a vis this whole frame up of Brady and the Patriots. Sally Jenkins is not one of them:

Sally Jenkins on Tom Brady, Roger Goodell and DeflateGate

From Jan. 28:
DeflateGate is a scandal that’s losing air

From May 12:
DeflateGate punishments are NFL’s weak attempts to right its own wrongs

From May 21:
Trying to restore his authority through DeflateGate, Roger Goodell undermined his credibility

From June 17:
Why Roger Goodell might be in tough spot on Tom Brady suspension

From June 29:
Roger Goodell has one credible option on DeflateGate; will he take it?

From July 30:
DeflateGate’s real issue: Due process

From Aug. 21:
Roger Goodell’s insistence on acting as emperor makes the NFL vulnerable

When I see an article like that and then reflect on what gets written locally, all I can think of is Luke 4:24.
When teams visit here to play, this verse comes to mind:

"There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Kraft, and Belichick, and Brady, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of Foxboro, and you yourselves thrust out."-Luke 13:28

I loved it.

I don't value anything that is said by anyone from the management side of the NYJFL. I don't care how many billions those people are worth, their word isn't worth 2 cents to me. Not now.

Whatever somebody's willing to pay for it. I really don't think about the value of it since I plan on keeping it for my Boston Sports Themed Man Cave.
What a treasure!

I know you're not planning to sell it, but i'd sure have it appraised and insured if i were you...and not talk about where you keep it to all but family and trusted friends. that's already pretty valuable and will go way up iif he wins #5 and, of course, after he goes into Canton. also be sure it;s framed in such a way as to protect it from UV rays.
