Chris Harris: Broncos Defense has No Weaknesses

Wow

What are you smoking?

Go ahead and prove Seattle was better in 2014 than Denver has been so far this year.

I'm not sure why fans go to such great lengths to deny excellence by other teams. Recognizing their strengths only makes beating them that much more impressive.

`
Prior to the pats hanging 43 on the Broncos, the most their defense gave up was 26.

Given they have the same defense they had last year and don't give me that wade Philips ****.

This is really, really funny.

It's like on one of the Broncos sites with some clown boasting about the #1 defenses beating the #1 offenses in 7 of 8.

Who cares when Brady is now 7,8 or 9-0 against #1 defenses?

I posed the question before Buffalo. Why is combining a 1-11 defense that gives up 37 points so much an obstacle when combined with some 1-7 "genius"?

Denver combines 40 point surrendered personnel with a 40 points surrendered "genius". How exactly is that going to work?

We all know that can't be done until the regular season is over @Oswlek. The better comparison are the responding statistics to this time in season 2014.

You can't say anything definitive about who they are, but you can talk about how they've played. If we are doing pure midseason comparisons, then Denver takes it by a country mile. Seattle didn't ramp up last year until Wagner came back and they hit a remarkable run of awful QBs.

Perhaps a good gauge will be the first half Denver 2015 vs. the second half 2014 Seattle defenses?

The reason I bring this up is because Denver, this year, has played piss poor QB's minus Rodgers (who played piss poor) the first half of their schedule, and are healthy on the defensive side of the ball, which is similar to the Seattle defense and set of circumstances during their second half stretch during 2014.

He's not wrong, although that depends an awful lot on the continued health of some players who have had trouble staying healthy in the past (Talib, Ware, Miller, Harris himself). Their edge depth is excellent, though, so even if Ware or Miller gets hurt they'd be fine as long as the other stays healthy.

Makes sense. Denver's schedule has been tougher, amazingly enough, but they're healthier than Seattle was at any point in 2014.

I still think Denver is going to tail off as the season goes along. Were won't be the same guy come December and we all know the Talib hammy tweak is around the corner. But until then I expect them to win games almost by themselves.

Yeah, traditionally Wade Phillips defenses have tapered off as the season progresses, so I can definitely foresee chinks in the armor of Denver's defense exposed by variables like wear and tear, injuries, good offenses.

I do not think that this Denver defense is at the level of the historic defenses in NFL history, but there is still half a season and post-season left to go.

I don't get why we give Denver's defense credit for stopping Aaron Rodgers and at the same time we take away credit from our defense stopping Ben Roethlisberger because "coaching reasons."

Do you have eyes? Denver's defense is clearly way better than NE's. Stop it.

Man for man Jets defense is better. They have two pass rusher and two cornerbacks that are very good. The rest are good but not exceptional. Same with their DC

They have a better secondary then the jets but their pass rush is light years better

The irony is that the weakness is Harris. He's still in JE11's back pocket.

That's not at all what I'm saying. I'm saying the way people go around here picking and choosing games/stats to make their points and discrediting where necessary is getting tiresome.

I don't care what Denver does against the other 30 NFL teams. They've never stopped rob gronkowski, and until they do, their wins against anybody else means nothing to me.

Edit: If Denver wins the Afc, then I'll admit defeat, until then, New England is top dog

As per usual @Interception, you're dribbling **** and take a contrarian role. At this point in your posting history, it is impossible to see you as anything more than the troll that you are.

You made a comment about Denver's D being better than Seattle's. With minimal effort, I was able to disprove that position. You're now on my ignore list.

Oh no, how will I ever live without you not having me on your ignore list?

Seattles D carried their team to a Super Bowl. How can you be sure denver won't? They've already carried the team to victory in every single game they've played. Lol @ "minimal effort." You didn't disprove anything, idiot, Seattle carrying their team to a super bowl doesn't automatically make them better. Denver could very well do the same, you can't say they won't. They haven't even gotten the chance yet! As far as their play goes, they are statistically doing better than the Seahawks were through week 8 last year and you cannot disprove that.

Are these stats what Seattle had through 7 games or is that all 16? Because if it is all 16 then it is completely f***ing meaningless.

Seattle looks even worse through the first 7. They did most of their work in the second half of the season so I included all of them just to give them the boost.

Their defense is not the same as last year. They have more experienced young players, like Chris Harris. Players change, and they are better this year.

Are you saying Jamie Collins didn't improve? Chandler jones? Is this front 7 the same as last years front 7? Has Easley not improved?

Stop being so blind. They are obviously not the same as last years group. They are much better.

Who is paying you to make so many stupid comments?

Just ignore all the statistics and go straight to insults? Nice. Come back when you've checked which D actually performed better through 7 games.

Still waiting for you to reply to my stats presented. Please, share stats to show how Seahawks D in 2014 is better than Denver in 2015.
