I clearly never defended hardy's actions. I would be ecstatic if he tored up his knee. I will stand by what i said. If she was such a victim she would screwed the money and put him behind bars but money talks
I find it passing odd that, given the info you have provided in this thread pertaining to your personal life, that you would be a bit unsympathetic to the victim here... money or not.
Moreover, it almost seems as though you are alluding to some nebulous, arbitrary grade scale for victims of domestic abuse, per the boldface portion of your post I quoted... which is also... odd.

Do u think victims of domestic abuse are proud of her? Scum like hardy should be locked up and not be giving chances like the victim did. Seriously think about it.
I am not but my sister wasn't given 10 million dollars and she sure as hell wouldn't take it to make it go away. You go after the pos!!!
I have not idea what victims of domestic abuse think about this particular victim. That is irrelevant.
But why interject your own personal experience with such a reprehensible act into the motivations (or lack thereof) of a different person with a completely different set of circumstances?
Let me ask you this: do you think Holder would have gone after him in court if there was no hush-money involved? Keep in mind this is someone who has the clout to lawyer up and beat the rap, so to speak...
Perhaps that was taken from her as a result of the abuse...
Nope. She went shopping and on trips while the prosecutors where looking for her. I wonder where that money came from. Hmmmm
Well that money is not going to spend itself. Seriously though, I read into that particular chestnut of the article as someone who was moving around like that as reflective of an unstable psyche.

There was no way Hardy was going to jail for this assault. In the bench trial he was found guilty and the sentence was 18 months probation and a suspended 60-day jail term. That right there is your worst case scenario for Hardy (from the standpoint of criminal court).
I don't presume to say "if she was really this, then she would do that" when every single human being on this planet is different. So let's just say I can understand someone being the victim of a crime and deciding to enrich their lives financially by taking more money than they're likely to ever see again over fighting it tooth and nail in criminal court for what will, at the very most, be 18 months of probation.

I swear, the #NFL's automated merchandise website is working at an All Pro level to make the league look tone deaf.
Here educate yourself: I guess there are lots of POS women out there according to your viewpoint.Come on now!!!! There was pictures. She just took the money. She pretended like it never happened. I don't think victims of abuse would be happy with her taking the high road. She lived well. It just makes me sick to my stomach that she let this pos buy her
According to the Department of Justice, victims’ refusal to cooperate is “the prime reason prosecutors drop or dismiss domestic violence cases,” and two separate Ohio studies found that a victim’s failure to appear in court was the primary reason for dropping charges in 70 percent of cases that were dismissed. In North Carolina, where Hardy was prosecuted, another study found that “victim opposition was reported as the key factor in reducing the likelihood of prosecution.”
“(Victims) may not be holding out much hope that it’s worth it,” Avalon said. “And in a lot of cases, especially with misdemeanors, she’s right.”
“I don’t think it’s any one victim’s responsibility to change the entire system,” Saladino said. “It’s not his or her fault that an abuser made them the victim of that crime.”

Why Victims Of Domestic Violence Don’t Testify, Particularly Against NFL Players
