OT: Deadspin releases photos of Greg Hardy's victim

And Cowboy fans are defending this POS! WOW. He deserves a lifeban and imprisonment. POS bought off his criminal actions.

He does, he definitely does, but I didn't need to see the pictures to confirm that, and that's what bugs me.

I don't expect the Cowboys to cut him. The Cowboys knew damn well what he did, but signed him anyways because he's a great pass rusher. So if Jerruh does somehow cut him, he should still be crucified for signing this animal, because its all just a PR move.

Her bruises does not look like someone who was picked up over his head and thrown onto a tiled floor in the bathroom or a sofa full of guns. It looks more consistent with someone being restrained or held to tight. If she broke a table in his living room, that likely contributed to the cuts on her hands and feet. Are we gonna say he uppercut her because she has a bruise under her chin? How desperate are we? Why do we always ignore what may have happened to the man during cases of domestic abuse? Hardy may be a piece a crap but there are 2 sides to every story.

Same case with Manziel, should I be convinced he was driving his car down the highway and just decided to beat his girl down, while riding one handed? Are you trying to convince me that girl didn't hit him back or even started hitting him first, which led to her beatdown. I get the whole "a man shouldn't put his hands on a woman" thing, but IMO, if she's trying to fight like a man, unless she's defending herself, then she deserves to go down like one.

you're a disgrace.

Just cause i was curious to see the reaction. I went on a few Cowboys websites.

I could not believe what some fans were saying.

To be fair I think the majority reacted like you would expect actually people that have empathy to do... Some of the other examples were...

"You have no clue. Hardy has marks on his face...who is to say she didnt attack him first?"

"The reporters on ESPN are acting like Hardy is satan himself. They were like "Just a warning... the photos you are about to see are very, VERY graphic." ...and they weren't even that bad. It looked like the woman fell off her swing at the playground and got a couple scratches. And isn't there no evidence that he even attacked her? All I know is that the girl was heavily drugged and Hardy made the 911 call. Sounds like the crazy chick probably injured herself."

"Now that I've seen the pictures I'm pretty convinced it wasn't abuse. Yeah, there was a confrontation and it turned physical. But had he abused her, as she claimed, she would have much worse bruising"

"We don't know each party's part in the altercation.
Hardy obviously was violent with her and she with him.
Play ball"

And those were just on the first page of a thread on cowboyszone. All these members have over 1000 post btw.

I just hate how some fans can be like this.
Went over to see what you were talking about. My 2 favorite threads are the recently started "Greg Hardy appreciation thread" and a thread where - and this is the honest truth people - they debate whether they would rather beat New England or Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl.

Yes, that's right, fans of a 2-5 team are trying to figure out who they would rather face, and beat, in the Super Bowl. Although, in all fairness, they were 2-4 when the thread was started. :p

The Cowboys have been a relevant team in the NFL. Problem is you need to be a 30-something (or older) to actually have remembered it.

I like how they are framing it in the media... The phrase is Goodell’s hand-picked hearing officer. Nicely than, I was looking for an angle to bring him to the front lines.

Everyone who's calling out LivinLovin&Breathin_Brady for being the MRA piece of **** that he is, feel free to take a Like, Agree, and Winner from me. I'll leave a bowl on the doorstep, so help yourself.

Actually this story makes them look good. It is the independent arbitrator who would look like an anachronistic misogynistic baboon when this story is done.

What if he believed that the CBA didn't give Hardy proper notice that what he did (as evil as it was) was punishable by a 10-game suspension? Should he have acted extralegally and upheld the 10-game suspension anyway?

A team signing Hardy would take a PR hit. The Cowboys have already taken the hit, and Hardy is still an excellent pass rusher.

So Hardy stays.

I just a read a post complaining that it was unfair that Hardy got four games "while Brady gets off". I **** you not.

Lets just say I wouldn't be sad at all if Greg Hardy got a gruesome injury and ended his career and ended up homeless...

WOW! It is pretty horrifying to find out that Goodell had these photos and his reaction was to cut his suspension from 10 games to 4?

Wait a second....you think it was GOODELL who cut Hardy's suspension from 10 games down to 4????

Hardy's a POS but this woman taking money makes me cringe. I might not feel as much sympathy for her. Just another gold digger.

While almost at the same time, he was refusing to lower Brady's suspension to a crime where there was no evidence of a crime. Is your mind ready to explode yet.

BTW- Lest we forget. The NFL had pictures and evidence of Ben Rothlessberger's rape charge that were equally chilling and decisive., That's why he got suspended even though he wasn't charged with a crime, because the woman wouldn't cooperate afterward.

She decided it wasn't worth it, because she knew SHE would be the one attacked on the stand, and threatened by Steeler fans. IIRC her name never become public and she too came to a "settlement" with Ben. I hope she is doing well
That wasn't goodell's decision. That was an arbiters decision.

Yeah ... it's just so easy to put ourselves in her shoes ...'
Her mindset after having the living crap kicked out of her .... easy stuff ...
Real easy to go to trial and put the man who beat you in jail for a while ...

good grief .........

Let's not forget that not only did Jerry Jones sign this piece of fecal matter, he also trotted out his own daughter to defend the signing

Jerry has no soul

Wasn't there an attempt by the league in their suit against the DA to keep the photos from ever surfacing? I remember reading the NFL email requests somewhere

Listen the pictures are enough. Maybe she didn't want a bad reputation to be exposed. I think she's far from an angel but hardy deserves to be out of the league

I wonder if the NFL gave the arbiter the those picture's Icy.

That's an interesting question, one I don't think we'll ever get an honest answer on.

From what I understand, the NFL had the photos and used those, along with other information on the incident, when determining Hardy's punishment. For the appeal, wouldn't it make sense for the league to turn over all their information, including the photos, to the person hearing the appeal? What could the league have to gain by withholding some of the information? It would give Henderson some deniability when reducing the suspension, but that would also mean the league wanted the suspension reduced, even though they gave him 10 games to begin with. I'm having trouble coming up with a scenario that makes sense.

Wow Jerry Jones doubles down. Americas Team. Yea right.
