Patriots-Redskins: Who Has The Razor's Edge? Key Matchups and More

Steve Balestrieri

The Patriots will be looking to go 8-0 on the season as they meet the Redskins on Sunday. Tom Brady is having an MVP-type 2015 with 20 touchdowns and only one interception.

Washington has ranked in the bottom third of the league in rush defense all season and is currently ranked 26th. allowing 128.4 yards per game. They have some big bodies up front starting with Terrance “Pot Roast” Knighton and Chris Baker, but look for the Patriots to mix things up and attempt to run more this week than they’ve been doing lately.

The Redskins are banged up at the cornerback position and 2nd year player Bashaud Breeland has filled in admirably as the team’s #1 corner in the absence of both DeAngelo Hall and Chris Culliver. Their best pass rusher Ryan Kerrigan had surgery on his hand and is questionable for this one.

Can anyone give insight into Washington's football team?

I've been looking around the board and can't find much about the upcoming game...maybe it's because the last few games have had a lot of fanfare and hype for various reasons. Are there any lingering Washington fans on here who can give a good breakdown of the team? I have watched them off-and-on this year while flipping through Sunday Ticket. I am surprised the spread is -14 because this team seems very capable of playing good football.

That's all I got

They suck.

This may be the easiest game all year.

I am predicting 38-14 when I usually predict a close game, so I don't disagree, but they seem like less of a joke than normal. I remember earlier this year they were ranked very high both in run O and D. But that's kind of irrelevant to us, so I'm picking a big win.

It was only a matter of time, might as well get it out of the way in the first response

I got **** for a "pre-emptive race card" but it's all good to pre-emptively post something that a large group of people, including many here, consider racist?

Desean Jackson and Deangelo Hall will most likely return to play us Sunday.

Just to be clear, is it the Redskins logo that you find racist, the kid gif, or the Redskins logo + kid gif? Honest question

To be honest I just posted it as a joke.. I don't really have a horse in the race either way.. I can see why people find it racist while others claim it to be a term of reverence.

Back to the OP, if this were in Washington I would say the Redskins would put up a fight but considering its at Gillette I say the pats win by 3 scores plus.. Something like 34-14.

Cousins can be dynamic but still doesn't read defenses that well and is apt to throw it up for grabs at points, he should be good for 1-2 picks IMO. No DeSean Jackson helps

They don't have a very good run game but their d can be run on, they're also tied with NE at 10 takeaways.

I don't expect this to be much of a game.

Washington's football team is called the Redskins. They have a QB that is being taught via lots of Brady tape, among other things.

It will be interesting to see if BB puts Butler on him, or if he puts butler on someone else and 'doubles' Jackson...
