...sounds like Jimmy Stewart on 98.5 is the only one who is confident it will happen. I really don't know anything about him
Sounds like nobody does.

I'm not in Boston, you'd think someone on a Pats board who is in Boston would have an opinion...but crickets around here.

annnnnd hes not available. move along people, no pats trades happening this eyar

Wow, the Jags are $34 million under the cap. That's crazy.

The owner thinks it's great, as he jumps in a bouncy house filled with currency, with few bills of the $1 denomination. When does the "cap floor" rule start?

Hicks and Bostic were good trades. They just did not happen on trade day.

Aside from Vernon Davis to Denver, have any trades happen? It seems like the same old, same old every year. Lots of rumors, not much action.

Yeah imagine if Jones - Hightower and Collins were all FA's next year they could sign all Three.

Let me re-phrase:

I know who he is, but I'd always thought he was just the producer on some of the 98.5 SportsHub shows. In other words, I never got the impression that he was particularly well connected within pro sports...

Maybe. I remember the Talib trade in 2012 broke well after the 4pm deadline.

Jacksonville is probably only 3-5 good players, a run game and Bortles improvement away from being a pretty decent team, too. Much easier said than done though.

Does San Diego have anybody on Defense worth a dam otherthan Eric Weddle? They are going nowhere fast!

This sucks. Ughhh. Seems like teams are asking for too much. We better cross our fingers for our players to stay healthy

Disagree, a bit. I mean, agree that our chances don't die without a deal, of course. But the unit needs an upgrade even if everybody's healthy. You bring in another guy and slot everybody down one on the depth chart and we're in business.

35 minutes....
Yeah, we do disagree....a bit. We would all would like to have 2 top end CB's, but we don't. However given the rest of the defense around them, I strongly believe they are GOOD ENOUGH to make this a top 10 defense....if not better. They both have played OK, and will likely get better as the season goes on, since this is both their first year starting.

However what I don't believe is that we can count on them to stay healthy for 12 more games. Bringing in McCourty ends this fear at worst, and improves the play at CB at best.

I'm in the group that believes that injuries and the refs are the only thing that can stop this juggernaut from getting another ring. Injuries are going to happen. Right now CB is vulnerable, very vulnerable

Well after is not really true. Schefter broke it at 4:13 p.m. It's possible that any deal could be announced after the 4 p.m. deadline, but not well after it.

We are pretty good dept Roster wise at most position just need another serviceable CB and Tackle.

Patrick Robinson (CB)

2010 1st round draft pick of the Saints (out of Florida State)

He signed a 1 year, $2mill deal with San Diego this off-season so he'll be a UFA after the year.

i guess BB is comfortable with the current CB's..

So none of you yahoos knows the number of Devin McCourty? We can just ask him. I am very disappointed in you all.

Joke.

13 minutes is forever when you are in desperate need for a CB. ;)
