Jason McCourty isn't very good.
Bill Barnwell had him ranked at the 78th best player in the league in his top 100:

"Tennessee’s star cornerback deserves a lot better than his lot in life at the moment. In the prime of his career and having emerged as a criminally underrated cornerback, McCourty is stuck on a Titans team that simply hasn’t invested well on defense. His effectiveness was highlighted by the misery across from him in the form of Blidi Wreh-Wilson; the Titans were 10th in the league against no. 1 receivers and last against no. 2 wideouts, which should tell you a lot about how McCourty shined. His best season was likely 2013, but on a better team he would have a deservedly higher profile."

The NFL 100 Rankings: Part 1

Sounds like a good addition to me.

is jason mccourty that good?

A few years ago some folks were saying that we picked the wrong Mccourty...they were wrong.

But if we do get him at least Edelman can make a short comedic movie: The Coaches Trap - staring the Mccourty twins...

I've watched McCourty a couple of times. He's impressed me when in man. Bucs Talib wasn't considered great either. I think BB could turn him into a good CB1.

How a player plays on a bad team versus how well he can perform on a good team can be vastly different. CBs get dumped on so easily, yet they have one of the most difficult jobs of any player. A change of scenery could increase Jason's appeal.

Not at all. He'd probably the #3 CB here (at best.)
I'd be happy to bring him on board. At best #3? I have a difficult time believing that Justin Green or Rashaad Melvin would be better options on the depth chart.

I like Sean Smith over Jason McCourtey, who just hasn't really impressed me that much when I've seenn him play.

  • Agree
Reactions: TBR
I'm still interested in Keenan Lewis but the Saints appear to have a shot in their division again.

I'm hoping for Maurice Hurst....

Chiefs winning games + Steelers losing both games and players + Fitzpicksix injury = Chiefs still in hunt and probably not selling players off

Trade Mayo, Dobson, and a mid round pick for McCourty and hope we can restructure him to fit under the cap!

Browns are desperate to get rid of players.

Jason McCourty is very good, would instantly be our #1 and lol anyone who says otherwise

The Pats don't have enough cap space to trade Jerod (from how I am reading @Miguel 's page, it would create an additional cap hit).
