With a 3-20 record over the last 2 seasons...can't say I'm surprised.

The NFL needs an infusion of new head coaches, creative minds, people who knows at least how to manage the clock. I'm tired of seeing Andy Reid and others mismanaging the clock, Caldwell looking like a mute in the sidelines, Pagano calling god awful tricky plays and challenging calls that won't be reverted.

As long as they're not coaching the Pats, why WOULDN'T you want these coaches in the NFL?

I think the nature of many of the owners and the relatively small number of well known coaches that want to coach in the pros are two of the main factors in the relative mediocrity of most NFL coaches. Considering that many college coaches get paid very well, with a fraction of the demands of coaching in the NFL, a large majority of good coaches prefer to coaching at the collegiate level. I suspect many of the ones who choose to coach in the pros have larger egos, which would make them less likely to delegate duties such as clock management, even when they are very poor at it.

SF and the Titans might struggle in college these teams are really lacking esp at skilled positions.

I was just going to say that teams should stop hiring the players as coaches or GMs for that matter...There are some exceptions of course but I would think a team would want to look at belichick and want their next coach to emulate him in some ways...you know humble but hard working. Really knows his stuff about football. Never really played professionally(I think this is key) but played around the greats and learned well from them. Other great coaches speak very highly of him.
Then again there may not be another guy like that available.
Oh well the rest of you NFL...Y'all can suck it anyways! HAHAHAHA!!!

The titans are such a mess

Being good = cheating so would any intelligent man want to spend their career working for the NFL ?

This x100. I don't get why people complain about the incompetence of other teams. It's great for us. Incompetence of the league office and refs is a separate issue.

Good news for my man Marcus. Whiz is such a awful coach.

whisenhunt didnt really get a chance. took over a bad team has not had a chance to build his team this yr . They wanted miracles with a 1st yr QB with almost no talent worthy around him. Wiz is the reason steelers won their superbowl since he went away from cowher's 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense and also too AZ to the superbowl.
Most importantly according to "Do your job" BB got the eligible receiver ploy from watching the titans vs the jets last yr :)

Can he play corner?

And if the crybaby Warner hadn't thrown a 98-yard pick-6 with no time remaining in the first half,
Whiz would be a Super Bowl champion and the jerk Tomlin would not be one.

I hate Kurt Warner.

Also, there is not a level playing field at the college level. The Ohio States, Floridas, and Alabamas, recruit the top talent and then play schedules where some of their opponents have no chance of beating them.

1.5 games out of first place while in last place at 1-6 .... and fired .... can't make this stuff up ... ha.

Agreed, there's a lot of perks to coaching at the collegiate level. Coaches tenures tend to be much longer, the local media tends to be much less critical, no salary cap and generations of alumni that would run through a wall for you.
